... knows no boundries.

So what if they may be "the other organization".  This is a cause worthy of your consideration and donation if it fits in your budget.

Don't give up on your dreams! If an illiterate like K3 can write a book, imagine what you can do!

Another worthy cause....

http://www.lrrsracing.com/sAlmeida.htm

It orginally started out as a drive asking for $5.00 donations thru paypal to raise some funds for Christmas for LRRS Racer Steve Almeida's Family(who died during a LRRS event, Oct 2005).  He is survived by his young son and girlfriend.  Then LRRS Racer Todd Malvezzi had Tshirts made and offered them for a 25.00 donation to the fund.  If you want to donate 5.00 (or more) please click on the link above.

Thanks
Scott

Some additional new about the bike project [NOTE: I have copied Huey's post, so where you read "I" and "me" it's actually Huey130 over on "the motorcycle racing BBS that shall not be mentioned" ;D]

Due to a misunderstanding on my part (and the UK org simply responding to my request of using the webpage) the donations to the web page go straight to the org in England and are unfortnately NOT tax deductable. I'll be honest: I'm hoping everyone will give a bit (although there's been some whopper donations!) so the tax write off will be negligable. What I'm trying to say is I hope this doesn't keep anyone from helping to buy the bike. Hey get this: they wanted to contact you directly to explain this but because almost all of us checked the "do not contact me" box they were holding by their legal obligation to not send the email. You gotta respect that!

But if it not being tax deductable does make you think twice... guess what... You can donate to their "sister" org here in the States and it IS tax deductable! So now you gots no excuse!!! It's just a tad harder to do it here as the US version is set up mainly for corporate donations.

What ya have to do is mail a check to:

Dennis Ettlin, Riders for Health II Inc
c/o Brown and Sturm
260 East Jefferson Street
Rockville, Maryland 20850

And be sure to mark your check: WERA Event. So we can continue to monitor our progress.

To those that have donated (thank you!) and wish to recend and move over to the US donation via check: please get in touch w/ me and I'll start working on it. I'll be honest I'd rather leave it where it is as its just plain easier but I don't want anyone to have a bitter taste in their mouth about this and would rather do what it takes for y'all to feel good about helping!!! I'll make it right personally if I have to.
