1. Ed Key, Suzuki SV650, Pirelli, 8 laps
2. Matt Carr, Ducati 748, -0.036 second

Give us the story on this close finish!  Did Key draft past you to the finish?  Did your panties flappin' in the wind hurt your aerodynamics on the banking?  Give us the scoop!

All kidding aside, great job.  Way to go!   :)

PS - Let me know if you are aware of any Ducatis becoming available in the spring.

Tuck your skirt in your panties and twist the throttle!

Protein Filled

Yeah, I guess Matt took care of that "skirt getting caught in the sprocket" issue he was having! Great job!!!

Don't give up on your dreams! If an illiterate like K3 can write a book, imagine what you can do!

Thanks guys!  Section8Superbike was running out of room in the rig and I couldn't find room for my skirt or my panties.  The ride down from MI was very uncomfortable but I got in touch with the old "chops" through mile marker meditation.
I did good in qualifying so I was right where I wanted to be on the outside of the front row.  I got a good launch and was third through the infield and out of the chicane with Estok and Bilansky nipping at my heels and Key and Keyes in the lead.
It was on this first lap that I realised my aero package and the motor got along well and I took the lead at the line to lead the second lap.  This continued for the entire race and I would just fade out into one and let everybody back in.  It sounds funny, but I just wanted to stalk and it was working because on every lap Key, Keyes, Estok ansd Danny would punch a huge hole in the air and I would be motoring past them in the tri-oval.
Watching those guys battle it out was awesome.  Man, those guys had an awesome race as I was stalking.  I HAVE NEVER SEEN A RACE LIKE THIS FROM THIS PERSPECTIVE.  A couple of lappers in the infield messed me up on several laps and I thought Danny and I might lose touch(Keyes had gone out at this point) but Danny pulled us right back up to Key and Estok on the last lap going in to the chicane.  I was right where I wanted to be but in the end Key got all strategically erratic and I was indecisive.  I should of just motored out of Bilansky's pocket and put Key in my spot.  But could of should of would of----this was my first race ever at the track so I am very happy and my family was there and they were happy too.
Thanks again guys for the mention.  I'll be back next year with or without the skirt.  Section8Superbike is awesome and I am done with slow bikes like I used to race.
Bill, keep in touch for the Ducati stuff.
Edgar, make me ice race this year!!!!!  Maybe I should put a large sum of money on the line if I don't show...............................

Absolutely!!!!!  Rhiannon is haulin' the mail.  She was pitted next to us all weekend and she kept me motivated.  Plus she is HOT!!!

and props to Ryan Hall who was out a couple races before me winning his National Championship and coming back with some pointers on the slippery paint in T1 and the greasy chicane!!!
