First time to daytona and was wondering if anyone knows the gearing for the track? I'm on an 04 1k gixxer.

And of course any tips on some lines there ;D

I would start with stock gearing for your bike. From there it would depend on your riding ability and your bikes power (similar to racing at Road America). I have seen people go up to a couple teeth either way on the rear sprocket. The new infeild is somewhat tricky and that may ultimately determine a tooth or 2 change to get your shift points where you prefer them. The biggest factor will be having enough gearing so you don't top out too far ahead of the finish line, but unneccesarily going the other way with the gearing will sacrifice your acceleration in the slower sections. Something else to consider is drafting on the big track, that will increase your top speed so it would be nice to have a little bit extra left in gearing at top speed so you aren't bouncing off the rev limiter.

Good luck and have fun!  :)
