I bought K3's book last weekend when I saw him at Gingerman.  I couldn't put it down and finished it in two nights(yes, I can read).  Totally awesome!  I could directley relate to several passages because K3 and I are from the same region.  Good job K3.  You rock!!!!! :D

HA!!!  Near as I can tell, you're the first one to have finished the book.  I can't believe that of all the things you could have said about the book, you chose those two words.  That's my personal favorite paragraph!
Man, after three years it's good to hear some reactions.  I didn't think this day would ever come!
 ;D
The frame was snapped, the #3 rod was dangling from a hole in the cases, and what was left had been consumed by fire.  I said, "Hey, we've got all night!"

I'm glad it came, Chris.

I don't have the bling right now to wing it myself.  Trying to sell the farm, and if I can't, I'm gonna have to figure out a way to pay our house taxes that apparently were reassessed and increased 41%, and to figure out a way to pay my farm taxes.

I'm looking forward to when I can get it.  Bettin' that my sister-in-law will buy it for me though.

You can read, Chops?  No joke.... :P

Well Dave, when you DO get a copy, you'll notice that you're one of the people mentioned in the dedication....
You'll also notice that you're in some pretty elite company!  I seem to have had some VERY cool mentors over the years.
 ;)
Man, good luck on that farm thing.  Sounds like it may be as much a burden as a windfall.  I can relate to the assessment thing.  That happened to me about a year after I moved into my house, and at that point I was mortgaged up to my eyeballs already.  Those were some rough years....

Mine came on Wednesday.  I couldn't put it down either.

Now how much was fiction besides the names?  It seems that the author used to run with an interesting crowd.

SD: Have you looked into appealing the assessment? Often times, you can appeal it, and they will lower it somewhat.

Every little bit helps.

Thank you, my friend.   :-*

Yeah, it's hard right now.  The assessment thing...well, that's a Wisconsin issue.  I do know where there's a place that I've got more space with less tax...

Appealing the assessment?  Good luck.  House prices have gone through the roof.  Houses have sold for about 70% more than what we paid to build ours nine years ago.

It's all fiction.  None of that stuff ever happened!  I swear it!
