At my work, the list of pets available at the local humane society is updated every week.  For years I have been able to take a look at them all and hope that they will find a good home.

This little guy (a three year old Smooth Coat Fox Terrier) really caught my eye.  Knowing the terrier breed, I knew this one may be hard to adopt out.  Well, I stopped in at took a look at him yesterday....

Yep, a three year old male who was not nutured and no obidence training whatsoever.  Completely full of energy!  However, this little guy has lots of potential.  Only working with him for 15 to 20 minutes, he realized that there went certain things that I would not allow him to do, it didn't pay to try again.  All this guy needs is brain surgery (being nutured) and some time spent with him.

Well, all of us (Paul, Renee, the Marty dog and myself) are going down to take a look at him again today.  I guess I better get going on that six page (yes, six pages) application.

This is why even though I donate stuff to my local shelter, it's sometimes best not to check out the critters. You could wind up with a houseful of pets! ;) ;D

Good luck, he looks like a spitfire!

The whole family including the Marty dog went down to look at him again....

The little guy recognized me right away.  I took him out, the dogs got along great!

When we first took him out, he didn't bark at anyone, but after a while, he was ours...  anyone came close, he would bark at them.   ;D

We all got lots and lots of kisses from this little guy.  It was hard to put him back into his kennel....

I'll know Monday if our application was approved.

Good for your, Dawn!
It is hard finding homes for adult animals....you did a real good thing by bringing him home (attempting to at least).

Great looking dawg, too.  I have always had Jack Russells, and they look real similar.  I love his black face...really pretty dawg.

K3 Chris Onwiler

The frame was snapped, the #3 rod was dangling from a hole in the cases, and what was left had been consumed by fire.  I said, "Hey, we've got all night!"
