Moto-GP race mutterings

Boy I don't think I have ever seen so may highsides in the rain before in my life. The Donnington race was wet, wet, wet and noraml I see riders low side loose the front or the back steps out and it spins around. I wonder if this was  a function of the the traction control systems the Moto-GP bikes have? Or if they just have that much better rain tires?
