Where are the best prices for tires these days (Michelin Power Races)?  I'm looking for both internet and local (STL) sellers.

Thanks,
Chris

If you're racing, get them from your trackside vendor.

 ;)

West Coast pricing is $300 a set for Medium's, $340.00 for Soft front/Medium soft rear, and $350 for the PR series.

EAST COAST   $295 med power race   all PRs $330.00  rains sometimes $330.00-360.00  installed

Super Dave

Buy them from your race track distributor, because the other tires are different than what is available from your race tire distributor.

Additionally, when changes are made to the tires, which happens regularly,  you'll have the newest contours, carcasses, and compounds.

This is a track day, and I can't get an answer as to wether or not a vendor will be there.

Chris,

Last I looked Donelson's actually had pretty good prices on the Pilot Powers.

Not sure if Tom Mason (racetrack distributer) will mail them to you or not.  You might want to give him a call.  He only deals in Michelins though.  Just look up Mason racing tires on yahoo, that should get you pretty close.

Good luck.

If they have the day, I'll probably come out and watch.  Not much sense in wasting money on a track we're not racing on anymore and the wear and tear on my bike and bank account.

Thanks scott, but don't be a sissy....I need someone fast to follow around the track. :)  (maybe not follow, exactly......but I will be behind you!)

LOL, there will be plenty of fast guys there I'm sure.  Many faster than me.  Speedballer will probably be there on his stunter bike :o

Quit playing around.  Get your license and come racing.

I'm going to Gingerman at the end of the month.  I'll haul your bike up there for you.  Racing is about 100X more fun than a track day.

If I were to buy tires, Tom is the man to see.  Great guy and great service.  BTW, thanks for the link to the site Dawn.
