I'm looking to take a school and get my license early next spring. Is there anything I need to do right now in order to join CCS? Or do I just sit tight until I get my license? And if I take the school on a race weekend Friday, can I race that weekend and how do I go about signing up for that? Thanks.

If you've been doing track days and feel ready for it, preping the bike and getting the safety equipment that you've already got....right? Check the rulebook for bike prep. Read the rulebook again for helmet date and such. Once you got your slot in the school, (sign up as early as possible), that's about it.  Get twist of the wrist and read it. Then read it again over the winter. Reread and double check everything.  Check www.marrc.org, they have a pretty good page for triple checks

You can join when you get your licence. In the Mid West area, Learning Curves race school is held on Saturday of the race weekend. If you pass the class, you can race on Sunday. (If your bike is race ready. See a rule book)
Super_Daves school is durning the week. I'm sure your good to go for the whole weekend if you pass his class. I'm sure he'll let you know in a minute ;D Later, Kevin

Hey Baltobuell. Isn't it past your bedtime?

I did track days last year and I am race prepping the bike right now. I just wasn't clear of the sign-up procedures. I'm pretty sure I'll be doing the Cornerspeed class at VIR.

If this is the same Stickman from NESBA e-mail me at pete@sportbikemadnessracing.com I did last year what you want to do. Also I will have your pics to Ron by Saturday.  ;D
