Well Mr. Cook, you wanted to see some bucks, so here they are.  Granted, these are the little guys.  The bigun's don't come out until later in the evening.

Dang...

I told you they were little (they're still in velvet) but there are two forks and a six pointer.  The one that I chased out of the garden a couple of days ago was a couple inches beyond the ears and came forward quite a bit.  Not much length on the tines yet, but it will be a 12 pointer as long as none get broken off.

Paul's hoping that one will come back the third week of November.

Ah to live in God's country.  I think I may retire and move in next door!  :)

I'll have to keep my camera handy.  I've been chased by turkeys twice now in my back yard.  I'm convinced the little buggers want into the RV.

And they are FAST!!!!

I should take my camera when I walk the dog. We've been going early enough that we've been seeing all sorts of deer: doe, bucks and fawns.

Last week we saw 1 doe w/3 fawns crossing the road, we've seen the papa buck (12 pointer) regularly about a month ago, and we see assorted doe and fawns all the time. 1 doe was eating out of our bird feeder for about 2 weeks.

You don't have to be "up north" to see the critters! :D

Do or do not, there is no "try".
