Hello all,

It's been a while since I have been on the board.  Been busy ...

Anyway, my wife is participating in the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer in San Fransico and would like me to pass on her solicitation message, she has two more weeks to reach her goal.  Currently she is $400 short of her minimum $1800 goal needed for participation in the event (donations can be made online, see link below.)

---------------------

Dear Friends and Family,

As you probably know, on July 9-10, 2005, I'll spend the weekend walking in the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer. My goal is to walk the distance of a marathon (26.2 miles) on Saturday, and to walk half that distance on Sunday.

This is an important cause to me because this year, an estimated 40,000 women will die from breast cancer. This disease takes another life every fourteen minutes, and another woman is diagnosed with breast cancer every three minutes. An estimated three million women are living with breast cancer; one million of them don't know it.

I have pledged to raise money for the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer as part of my participation in the walk, and I need your support. Your contribution will help to support medical research into the possible causes of and cure for breast cancer, education and early detection programs, and clinical care and support services for women with breast cancer in communities across the country. In addition, there is a special focus on helping medically underserved women, the poor, minorities, the elderly, or those with inadequate health insurance.

Please support the breast cancer cause by making a generous contribution to the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer no later than July 5, 2005. You can make your donation online by simply clicking on the link at the bottom of this message, which will bring you to my personal page.

Thank you for your generous support.

Hey, Sean...

Tell your wife I said, "Hi!"

She's a sweetheart.

Let me see what I can do.  I can't look at the link right now, but I'll sticky this for a few days....

Do or do not, there is no "try".

Thanks for the help.  I know Tiffanni efforts are going towards a great cause.

Thank for supporting my wife with her endeavor.  Even though it wasn't a race, here's how she did:
- Raised $1,720 ($80 short of her $1,800 goal)
- 1st day - 26.2 miles, she finished in the top 10, lots never made the entire distance
- 2nd day - 13.1 miles, she finished in the top 6

Again she wasn't in a race, but she trained for it and was motivated to complete the required distances.

Even though the money turn-in date has officially past, she still has a month to turn in all lingering donations or any "new" donations that might come in.

;D ;D ;DThanks again everyone for your support.

Sean, that's great....

Don't forget...any race against cancer never ends...

So, feel free to donate now if you missed the first time around!

I hope others think about making a donation before that time.
