I'm pretty sure you have to place high enough to collect!  ;D

Most manf. require you to list them as a sponser, run their sticker and fill out the contingency form at each race.

Just trying to find out if you need to register with them directly other then the normal tech stuff.

Jeff, you run Bridgestones?  And fininshed third  You da man!!!!  You may get to MotoGP on Dunlops  ;D  All tongue in cheek, of course.  Bridgestone works very hard at improving, and you can tell they really care about bike tires.

Larry, I'll tell ya.  I've been a dunlop guy since 99.  Hard core...

I swapped to the stones this year.  The NEW stones (as in 05 production) not their old 01 warehouse stuff.  The tires are incredible for me.  I've never seen such perfect wear on a tire.  My suspension was dialed in as best we could for a dunlop, and towards the end of the tire life, it would shag.  The stones do not...

I'm pleased in every way with them so far...

I'd encourage anyone out there to just give them a whirl.  Maybe they won't work as well as what you're running today, but they definitely worked better for me...

I'd be interested in the stones IF a vendor showed up to all the races.  But, they don't.  :(

I agree with comparisons.  I always try every option I can afford and give it the best shot to work.  I've ridden on 4 brands of tires and each had its ups and downs.  The key, like you said, is what works for you.  For me, it is Dunlops, mainly because I ride very loosely and like to use the rear to steer the bike.  Dunlops slide very nicely and give you ample warning before completely going away. It has been so long since I really got to test different tires that I'm sure there's stuff out there that is way better than what I could imagine.  When I return, I'll be trying every brand, including Bridgestones, and making a decision.  I know who I'll be hitting up for setup information.  ;)

Clay brings up a good point - what do you do if a vendor doesn't show up.  I wouldn't swear to it, but IIRC there wasn't even a Stones vendor at Barber last year - and I think everyone knows about attendance at Barber...

I wouldn't think the Dunlop guy would think it very funny if you asked him to do it, and I don't have a tire changer.
