JB - No problem with a steering damper, at least its a safety item.  But they don't say you have to buy the Ohlins damper.  That's like safety belt laws, protecting people from themsleves.  Otherwise, you'd see some dude out there on an R1 with no damper.  That's fine, if I aboslutely have to race WERA I'll probably rent a transponder.  I guess renting is the real ripoff, but I know they do it to encourage purchase because keeping up with renting is a pain.  Fair enough.  And as far as the original thread, the first things mentioned about the transponder "issue" were in jest.  I responded to Paige's first post with "that's what I thought, but thanks for the heads up!"  Then the trouble started, with the two children "in charge".  (Notice Mogo's posts.  Completely different, no?  A much better way to handle things.)

Hey genius, did it occur to you that Mongo and the children might discuss things before responses appear on WERA's board?  Or that Mongo has the ability to delete what he disagrees with?

Ah, forget it.  Mongo thinks you were perfectly justified and encourages you to return and start a new thread on the fairness of the transponder rule.  He feels it wasn't argued enough over the winter.

Well, it's raining here and she is in  the next state over. Maybe her septic system overflowed out in the field or something.  ;D

I've learned something about camping at Road America.....

It's a LOT quieter in the paddock than in the "designated motor home camping."

Henry was there!  I wish I could have met him....

No I didn't remove the muffler....  the Vance & Hines header and pipe is quite loud enough.  I made sure they ate a little grass too since they were kind enough to spray a few motor homes themselves.  I didn't even need to put a foot down....   ;D  I've had enough practice in the dirt to get that move down pat.
