Been playing around with the idea of removing the electronically controlled throttle buffer assembly.

Has anyone done this and what were the advantages?

I've spoke with several people about this and got several answers.

From what I understand; these extra throttle plates are to aid a flat spot that occurs when the mechanical throttle is opened or snapped open. They open by an electric servo that opens much slower than the mechanical ones.

Those of you who have RC-51's or Duc's; have any ideas?

With all the hardware disconnected and the plates held open, I have noticed faster response (by the seat of my pants), but also have noticed a flat spot around 4-5k. I am wondering if tweakage of the Power Commander can aleiviate this.

Just looking for more volume, less restriction, a tad more response.

Any input is appreciated.
