Well, my glorious return to CCS racing commenced with an immediate, first practice session highside on a damp turn 1 at Blackhawk.  In no particular order, I'd like to thank Steve Richardson, Bob Wagner, Ike Anderson, Mike Jordan, Kevin (RHSC) Clark, Jim Hall, and the boys at Lithium Motorsports for looking after me and my bike.  It wasn't that big a deal, but I couldn't believe how many people pitched in to make it better, and how many people spent the day and evening monitoring my condition.  (I'm fine!  Stop asking so loud, OK?  And quit weaving around like that!  I'm not concussed.  I just don't feel like talking right now....)
The frame was snapped, the #3 rod was dangling from a hole in the cases, and what was left had been consumed by fire.  I said, "Hey, we've got all night!"

Is the SV too much bike for you?

Just kidding.  Glad you're OK.

If it makes you feel any better, you were'nt alone.  I saw at least 2 or 3 other bike off track on that lap alone.  I had the rear end step out on me a bit in turn 1 on the prior lap myself.  Then there was the red-flag-athon in GTL.

Today's sprints were an adventure to say the least.

BTW, I'm one of the new (and slow) guys.  Red SV, #645.

Hey Ridgeay. Was Prosquid and Seizette from MSB there today?

Yeah, what was that about?  I've never seen so much paint swapping in one race in my life!  How have things gotten so physical?  Is it suddenly the norm to bash off each other in every corner  to try and get 15th place at a club race?
Actually, I shouldn't complain.  I'd never started a race on the SV before I gridded up for GT Lights, but I got three chances to work on my launch.  It was like getting three races for the price of one! :o

Negative.  They were planning on it, but probably made other plans when Samps (Matt) decided not to run this weekend.  resuscit8u, Nicky310, & spike10n2 among others were there though.  Are you on the MSB board?

As far as GTL goes, I was far enough back that I didn't see any of the ruckus first-hand, though I did see the bikes off-track in several spots.  I traded paint with no one and ended up 17th...  Don't think I put in a decent lap all race but the starting practice was appreciated since it was my first race (ever).

Despite the rain, LWSS and LWSB went better on Sunday.  Ended up 9th and 6th respectively.  Actually managed to pass a few people when I could get the fog to clear from my visor!  :o  :D

I'm glad you are ok Chris. I saw your hi-side first hand. 2 thumbs up dude! You DO manage to crash in spectaular fashion!  :o

And no... I don't have a turbo charger on the Buell. lol! I just know how to build motors that work I guess.  ;) Mark!

Glad to hear you're okay.  I missed all the races since the bike decided to turn into a thumper. Hopefully it'll get fixed in time for Autobahn.

I have noticed that we have to work harder in GT lights.  Maybe it's the certs or maybe people get tired and sloppy.  Come to think of it though, the last time at Blackhawk both the GT light and LW F40 were red flagged.

Sir,
Seeing you at the Saturday morning racers meeting sitting at the edge of the track, reminded me of what it is to have a bad day.  And whoever said a bad day at the track is still better than a good day at work needs to be beat with a stick.

So anytime I can hand a down-on-his-luck, fellow racer a peice of chicken, I jump at the chance!
Besides, Momma used to say, "You better be nice to others.....Because a stupid, no-good, lousy son like you is gonna a need all the help you can get later!"

Chris, you you can lend me a hand on my next "bad race day".  (& I know I'm gonna need it.)
Cheers,
Steve

Yeah on the second lap somebody (I think AM 126) assholed me going into the bus stop.  It threw me off the track and we both went down.  I was like - shit - I'm gonna be sitting here for half an hour!  Luckily the 98 red flags gave me an opportunity to push it off the track.

Oh yeah Jim Hall rocks. He got me back together in time for Thunderbike.
