Anyone know what temparture I should be warming my Michelin power races up to before I go out? and what temperature would you recommend i hold them at during lunch and long breaks?  bike is a 2004 gsxr 600, soft front, dual compound medium/soft rear

You might try calling your tire supplier.

unfortunetly i work at dealership so i am my tire supplier, the actual distributor parts unlimited wouldn't have a clue, and i've had no luck getting in touch with michelin directly.  I'd hate to bug a race shop I didn't buy anything from for the answer.

When I was at RA I asked the Michelin man, and he said to use about 150-155 of heat to heat them.

He also said that 31 in the front and 24 in the rear is good psi

31/24 this last weekend, but remember that may change a bit with track conditions and temp.

Tire temps for the new PR tires is recomended at 150deg front and 180 rear. Ron wood indicates you only need to heat them 1/2 hr or so prior to use unlike last year S2 series that needed 45min heat up time and they BETTER be hot (GREAT tire last year but the rears could be slick as greased owl poop if stone cold)..

155deg range for both should do ok..
We used 24lb rear only at Daytona. 22lb rear for most other tracks is what i have used and have been informed to use.
FRONT PRESSURE is up to 33lbs now.. THat has been noted by the "FAST" guys to be best

awesome thanks for the quick replies guys...

now i've heard of people holding them at a lower temp like during lunch and between long sessions to keep them from cooling down completely and fully heat cycling to prolong life, is this something worth doing or should i just leave them turned off til 30 minutes prior to rolling out
