What I find interesting is that every time I post, I seem to get a smite. What's up with that?
Forget it, this isn't very interesting. I bet there's more interesting things out there, so go for it!
Is Ben Probst karma stalking you too?
Well, I gave you an applaud to offset at least one of those smites!
George
It couldn't have been Ben, he's in Atlanta finalizing his AMA contract for next year!

Thanks...I really appreciate it too! I guess I shouldn't let that smite stuff bother me. I try to be nice. Hey, anyone else feel that the season ended too quickly?

Oh my gosh! Great minds think alike! That's what I was thinking!
On a lighter note, I'm going to see my son in about 10 weeks. We'll be spending Christmas and New Year's together. As you can imagine, I am pretty excited about this. He recently got an award and a promotion, which we're pretty proud of.
+1 from Me,good luck and enjoy time with Your son :thumb:
I got to ride with my oldest daughter this weekend .
She really loves the big singles from Honda .
She's 6' 2'' plays middle blocker collage volleyball and makes a 650 look like mini bike
I miss her when she's at school too
I know what you mean, some one out there is a hater. I only try to post positive stuff or help out with tech questions.
Good Karma coming your way barb_arh

I should do more of that too! I certainly could use the good karma, especially for my upcoming trip. Thanks for the great comment!
We spent years in pursuit of volleyball ride she was recruited by many schools .
When it was time to decide where ,the volley ball was not helping decide so she started looking into schools for BIO chemistry and molecule biology .
then she found Dominican University .
When she applied they told her of a science scholarship full 4 year ride for one student a year.
On her junior year in high school she was awarded a fellow ship at ch go university .
The Doctor wrote her a reference and she was awarded the collage scholarship.
It's a D3 athletic school and they were happy to have her play .
Check her out on the Dominican university web site #16
Barb, its just the boys trying to get your attention like when you were in grammar school.
I admit I gave you one...but that was to get you past -13 which was bad juju, thus bringing you good karma (and such...as Miss SC would say).

I rarely smite. And ive never had a reason to smite you, youre one of the few who do a decent job of presenting an argument without personal comments. Well up until now. Though I am glad to know im on all of your minds even when im not around.

Funny you mention this - I have never even looked at my Karma count...
I wonder If people were face to face it would be harder to smite someone if they were smiling at you .
Maybe just because you may say something they disagree with ,insted of trying to debate the topic their only comback is a smite

No worries - I mainly said it in jest, but, for a while it did seem like just before or after you posted something I got a smite.
Its all good and I'm just poking fun. I think that it must be Guy that is smiting me, he is a shifty character...

Agreed. Plus Guy has a SS bike so he really hates Ducati's.

That's what confuses me. I don't understand it myself. I have an idea I know who HE is, and all I say is that some people are angry at life. I try to be nice to evryone.

Now wouldn't that be interesting? I totally agree with you. What a dull world this would be if everyone had the same opinion.
Not that I'm keeping track or anything, but in exactly 8 weeks and 5 hours, I'll be on a plane headed to the middle east to see my son. Am I nervous? YES!
Wow what a trip .
You may be braver than I
Well, thanks! I find it pretty exciting to be going there, and my son says that it's pretty westernized. I've spoken to a couple of travel agents who reassure me that it'll be fine. I'll let everyone know when I get back. Spending Christmas in another country will certainly be quite the experience! Next Christmas card will show me riding a camel.
With my religious ignorance is Christmas there what we think of it here?
Pretty much the same except the reindeer have to wear burqas!!

When I was a kid I lived in Iran.
We celebrated Christmas....we just celebrated it very, very quietly.
I bet Christmas is going to be very quiet. If I'm alowed on the base, that will be fun to see what they do there. Hey! Do you think Bob Hope will come visit the troops? Ha ha
You grew up in Iran !
You must be one of the most interesting peoples I've never meet
Maybe after your return you will shear photos

Don't forget to take pics and bring them to BHF next Spring, Barb!

I will certainly do that. I know I'll be excited to tell anyone who'll listen about my adventures.
On the way back, I'll have a 6 or 7 hour layover in Amsterdam. Any suggestions?

Might start with this on Schiphol Airport...

Too bad you weren't laying over longer.... I've been there 4 times. I could tell you lots of places to go in Amsterdam - and where not to go!!

Thanks! I'm feeling a little better. How do they feel about Americans over there?
From my experience the Netherlands was the most open and friendly country towards Americans I've been to. But I'm only familiar with France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, Spain, Switzerland, Austria and Italy. Almost everyone you run into in Holland speaks at least some English and most speak it very well. I've heard that the Scandinavian countries are very welcoming to Americans as well - but I've never been there.
I gave you another applaud too! I want another one of those -5.0 second transponders. 8)

Even though Ed isn't going to like this, I would like to publicly thank him. I think I take alot for granted sometimes.
I haven't done this in some time, so here it goes...I have 17 days to go!
