Title: MW/GP Lightweight racers roll call
Post by: Rich on January 23, 2007, 10:27:44 PM
So I'm torn between buying another SV or getting a 600.

I've had fun on the SV the last two years, but last year there were no grids in the GP region.  The most I ever saw in LWSS on a combined GP/MW event was four.  In the GP region there were never more than three, and that was only at one event. For LWSB and LWGP we never had more than seven on the grid in the GP region.

So....anybody going to be racing SVs this year?  I'd love to stay in the class, but I'll have to buy a 600 and get my ass handed to me if nobody is going to race lightweights any more.

I'll be there on my stock ass SV running SS, SB, GP and maybe a fouth class.

I heard there will be some pretty fancy Superbikes this year with Chris, Anthony, and Rebecca.  Kevin acted like he may do 4 or 5 rounds as well.  I don't remember the guys name, but there is a really fast guy that didn't race last year who is making a comeback this year, and I think I heard he rides a Buell.

Anyway, I think there is a good chance for at least 8-10 Expert LW bikes in GP which is pretty much what they had in Expert MW last year.  At the combined events, it should be even better.

I'll be running the MW events in LWSB, LWGP, Thunderbike and GT Lights as an expert on my Ducati 1000SS.  My first year with white plates.

I thought that in the MW we had decent grids last year, they were not huge but probably was running 12 - 15 racers per event at most of them.  I guess a few of the wet races had less than that, I guess that some people just don't like playing in the rain...

The April event at Topeka will include the USGPRU so you will get the pleasure of having lots of fast 250GP bikes running in LtWt GP this year.
I'm bringing 9 in the Bruce Lind Racing Traveling Circus trailer alone.

I'll be following you guys and girls around the track on my Buell at Topeka,Road America and Gateway.  I'm not sure about MAM or Hastings.  I will also be going to Barber, as it has become a traditional family trip for us.  Please be easy on me as my hearing and eyesight aren't so good anymore.

Kevin,

Seems to me you've kind of taken to this "nekid bike" thing!!

Maybe you should try and get a special class going....
Call it the Naturist Class (No, not Naturalist).  Nekid bikes with clothing optional riders!! :spank:

Yea, damn interpretations!  :finger:
Speaking of interprations can you run wave rotors in SS?  All the rule book says is original dimensions and of a ferrous material.  (rotors made out of ferret?  :err:)  Does that mean just the diameter?

I wasn't going to run SS but now I'm leaning towards it again.

Rich, better get the 600, I do not want you talking bad about my sweet hyosung this year. Since I added the gold bling wheels I had to get a gold grill made for my teeth that way If I don't win maybe they will put me in two wheel tuner mag! There is no way you can handle running in the LW class anymore against my DUB edition.

From Hyosung.com

With wonderful dancing, Korean B-Boys drew attention worldwide. Their magnificent and passionate dancing attracts all people to look at them. Would they wear something special which can emit passion and free spirit?

The 'Last for One', a world B-Boy champion, wears special clothes. Since 2005, Hyosung has been supporting the 'Last for One', which was the champion of '2005 Battle of The Year'. The 'AEROCOOL' uniform they wear in various performances is made of the absorbent & quick-drying yarn which, as a representative functional fabric of Hyosung, quickly absorbs sweat and makes you pleasant all the time. Due to such outstanding functionality, it can keep you in the best condition even during intensive break dancing. Try on 'AEROCOOL', it will make you feel wonderful by absorbing sweat when you perform sports like marathons, cycling and dancing, or during the summertime.

Chasespeed: How can you ride a Hyosung without leathers and undergarments that will, "make you pleasant all the time." !!! :lmao:

Oh I wear my garments from Hyosung quick drying yarn that make me "pleasent all the time" under my leathers. Sometimes I feel "so wonderful" I forget I am even racing. They work great and I am not even sweaty, see how break dancing and road racing have allot in common.
