I just received this email from his teammates.  For those of you that know Brian, he's a great guy.  I hope everything works out and he pulls through with flying colors.

To Whom It May Concern:
Was not sure who to send this to but, wanted to inform the racing world that might know this fellow racer. Brian stark has been roadracing for several years in CCS and WERA . His racing number was 870 he has raced an SV650, Yamaha R6, and a Buell XB12 for Mid America Harley Davidson, Brian took a fall at work on Friday March18, 2005. Brian suffered a broken neck in the fall the C-3,4,5 vertebrae's were broken. He is still under the medication so there is no information on the severity of the damage as of yet. I will be glad to inform you with all the answers anyone has please contact me by email or phone which ever is easier. My contact info is 573-280-8488 or jsheats@yourcellularconnections.com

this is from a group email that was sent out to friends of Brian (aka Boone)

Wil, Johnny, and I went to see Boone last night. (Monday) His sister was in the room and had informed us that today (Tuesday) he will be takin off of the breathing machine and have a trake (sp) installed. Once this is doen they can decrease his meds so he will be more alert. At that time they can start to determine how much feeling he has in the lower half of his body.

Also he came down with peunomia (sp) and was running a fever.

And like Matt said... It's a very humbling feeling to se him laying there totaly helpless. It makes you aware how fragile we really are. Boone, and his brother were on some scaffeling only 12 ft from the ground. The scaffeling collapsed and they both fell.

I'm glad this is up; I've been meaning to post about it.  Keep him in your prayers.  My back injury was scary enough and I had a hard time reading the original e-mail.   :(

Don't give up on your dreams! If an illiterate like K3 can write a book, imagine what you can do!
