Quotejust out of curiousity...if God was looking out for K3, then the logical conclusion is that God wasn't looking out for the people who plowed into each other.  how does that work, exactly?  wouldn't God be looking out for all?

it isn't that K3 just happens to be skilled and used good judgement where others didn't?

No, if you have seen any of K3's crashes at the track that he has walked away from, then you would be assured that God is truly on his side at all times. ::)

Either that or god isn't involved and K3 has a deal with the devil.  ;D

Hey K3!!

What a story! We don't get to experince the "black ice" out here. (Thank God)

Yeah, he was watching over you and you have also made some very valid points as to what the virtues of racing are ;D

Since God is your buddy, does he also help you with entry fees? (I guess in a way, huh?)

Glad you survived that, here to race another day!!!

That whole experience should be on some reality show :D

I'm glad you had a good day driving.....

But if God was truly on your side, you & I would be in the Daytona grandstands today watching dirtbikes and eating twinkies.  All the while plotting our pit strategy for the 200 tomorrow and laughing about those suckers up north struggling with their weather!!

(God likes it when I dream.....And I will go to bed tonight thanking Him that you're okay.)

251am: Thanks for the compliment on the Tuono piece.  I was very proud of that one.  And don't give me TOO much credit for my racetrack skills.  I'm good, but there are plenty of guys out there who are great.
Griff: The difference between us is that I have to sit down and write my recollection, which allows for a bit of editing.  You just spew forth like a Verbal Versuvius....  and get it all in one take!  That takes MAD SKILL!
Grasshopper: No, it wasn't in Kankakee.  This wreck happened at 115th and Pulaski in the town of Alsip on Chicago's south side.
Don: Now I know what was REALLY going through your mind that day....
Kup: Are you OK?  That looked like a pretty bad hit when you took that Taurus head on!
Secularist:  Good one!  You had me laughing out loud for sure! But you raised a valid point, too.  I've had some ugly getoffs, and I've never been seriously injured.  God really does seem to look out for me.
As for deals with the devil, I wouldn't make a deal with Edgar no matter what he offered me! ;D
The frame was snapped, the #3 rod was dangling from a hole in the cases, and what was left had been consumed by fire.  I said, "Hey, we've got all night!"

The real question is: Did you laugh madly when it was over?

Glad you're ok, hope everyone involved walked away.

Do or do not, there is no "try".
