Ok... my whole office is sick.

And I mean, my WHOLE office.  My boss is sick.  My 3 team members are sick.  People in the next two rows of cubes are sick.  Almost deathly ill as far as I'm concerned.  All I hear is constant hacking (with serious chest congestion sounds mixed in) and at least one good, loud, *SNUCK* of inhaled snot every 30 seconds or so.

It's driving me crazy - it's been this way all week.  At least one of the people was like this LAST week before I left for Daytona on Wednesday.  I don't understand why people are coughing and hacking and are STILL SHOWING UP TO WORK.  Sheesh people - GO HOME, GET BETTER, and QUIT SPREADING IT AROUND!!!

I'm going to wind up calling in "healthy" and staying home the rest of the week so I *don't* get sick!!!

I'm not sick. Haven't been for over 4 years. No colds, no flu, no bronchitis. Eat right, excercise, get enough sleep and ferpetesake, wash your hands!

I'd call in healthy if I were you. I used to work at a place where I got sick alot. It was a chemical plant, and guess what? I'm chemical sensitive. That, and the boss kept coming in sick. Gee thanks. I got fired. The best thing to ever happen to my health. ;) ;D

Do or do not, there is no "try".

Quoteferpetesake, wash your hands!

You speak da trut woman!!

VERY few people wash their hands, much less wash them often enough.  On top of that, most people don't wash their hands properly!

You have to generate a lather.  At that point start the count.  ANd ya gotta wash the back of your hands too!  Most people I see washing their hands practically rinse the soap out of their hands as soon as they squirt it in their hands.

We'll have a lesson on propoer scrub up and asceptic technique later.

What?  Doesn't everyone perform a 15 minute scrub before entering the garage to perform "surgery" on their bike(s)?

I actually wash my hands alot dealing with all the well worn leather. Not to mention the adhesives and other products.

I have a thing against these anti-bacterial soaps, though. They are contributing to a wholesale rampant generation of super germs. Regular ordinary soap is more than sufficient when used properly. If you're not sure, hit it with some alcohol. That actually kills the little nasties outright. They have no defense against that form of chem warfare.  ;D

I am NOT sick.  Everyone, and I mean everyone, here at the library is or was sick and everyone at the gym is or was sick.  Those are the only two places I go these days so I can't believe I havent' managed the flu or that terrible sinus crud.  Yuck.

I don't get sick much either.  Last year at RA was the first time in years and I didn't know I was that sick until I got home.  I thought I just lost my voice.  But, I survived!

I take that back.

I was sick last night during 2 Wheel Tuesday when the best they could come up with during bike week was a story on Aaron Gobert's back pack!!!!!!!!   >:(

Next week, a riveting demonstration with Roger Lee Hayden's shovel.

Common sense would dictate that, but ya know if they called in sick when they were fine but just didnt want to work before. It was that way at Geneva Vans when I was tehre. People constantly coming in sick. Our shop fought with it for 2 months one year because some moron wouldnt just stay home when he had the flu.

So far so good for me this year.  I changed my eating habits (more fresh fruit & veggies, less junk) and have been training for triathlons, so hopefully my immune system has been staying pretty strong.  In the fall of last year I was starting to feel a cold coming on, so I took that Airborne stuff and never got full-blown sick.

There was a freaking plague going around the dealer show at Indy.  Most of the people I talked to afterwards were wiped out for 3-5 days, starting 1-2 days after the show.  I got laid out as well, spending Saturday through Wednesday in bed.  Not fun.
The frame was snapped, the #3 rod was dangling from a hole in the cases, and what was left had been consumed by fire.  I said, "Hey, we've got all night!"
