Per AMA rule book page 47 #3
3. For timed qualifying events, a rider's best lap time must be within
112% (110% in Superbike) of the fastest qualifying rider's best lap
time in order to pre-qualify for one of the available grid positions
in the final.
a. At the discretion of the Race Manager, the qualifying percentage
regulation may be waived due to special circumstances
such as track delays resulting in an extreme reduction in qualifying
time, significant changes in weather conditions, etc.

In case anyone was wondering?

looks like somewhere around 1:55 for 600 and 1:49 for SBK off of preliminary testing.

FX didn't get any warmup or practice that morning.  SBK did.

Barrick agreed that it was an unfair advantage

I'll be racing CCS... maybe the 200 if I can finagle the $$$$.  Anyone who is short on space in the pit department, I have some... I lost the only pit crew member I had today, so I'll be at the track alone.  Not the greatest scenario for winning races....  I'd prefer someone who doesn't race in the same races, maybe an SV rider or 2-stroker... expert of course.  I have a pretty decent setup, generator, compressor, roll away tools, 10X20 tent, motormat, everything you'd need (i.e. and could keep at home).  Anyone interested PM me, maybe we'll figure something out  ???
P.S. - I'm in Jacksonville, FL

QuoteISuper Dave,I just saw Pat Mooney and he's looking foward to checking out the new infield,he said to tell you HI...good luck at Daytona.

Hey, tell Pat I said "Hi!" too!

He's fast!  And his bike is awesome.  We're really out gunned by that bike.  But, for the cost of his machine, you could probably build a CBR600RR like Miguel's.

Team SKS will be celebrating the fact that we will be out of the cold starting March 2 with some good 'ol fashioned partyin' down there!  Then we'll hit the Team Hammer day, CCS races and Formula USA sportbike.  We can't wait to see everyone down there!  Oh, and hopefully the hang over I still have from the awards banquet will be gone ;D

GSXR RACER MIKE

I just pre-entered a request for good weather at Bike Week, hope I'm not too late! ;D

I'll might make it,spectator only style.Problem is I'll probably be going back to work after around the 14th of Feb after a 3 month medical leave,so going back & working 2 or so weeks and then asking off to go to bike week might not fly. What do you guys think??
