PICK THE TOP FIVE FINISHERS IN
EITHER THE 2005 DAYTONA 200
OR THE DAYTONA SUPERBIKE RACE
-------------------------------------------------
March is only a month away. I've delayed announcing the 8th Annual Butler's Rest Home Daytona 200 Pool because there was confusion with the new way things are being done this year. Notice was given pretty late, so there is not a very good indication as to the entries in the FX class, which is the 200 miler this year. I won't post any lists of factory riders this year. You are on your own to figure out who is entering.
So you can do one of three things:
1.) List your picks for the top five finishers for the Daytona 200 FX race,
2.) List your picks for the top five finishers for the Daytona Superbike race, or
3.) List your picks for the top five finishers in BOTH races.
I will try to pick winners in all three categories when the results are tabulated. Bear with me, this is all very unscientific.

Send your picks to me at the Rest Home
(resthome@mindspring.com ) or post them where you read this. Entries close at 6:00
PM Monday, March 7th..

1998 winner - Laura Perry
1999 winner - Kenny Rodrigues
2000 winner - John Mahlendorf
2001 winner - Chris Mullen
2002 winner - "d_alexand" (WERA BBS)
2003 winner - Paul Luevano
2004 winner - guerrilla

Yep, actually I'm the only active moderator over there. I changed the name to "Pinky's Pizza's Flying Circus" in honor of Tom Pinky.

Place sure died down over there since Yahoo changed the format didnt it?

Havent talked with Becki (Heroinjade) since she moved to Cali. Hell she was the one who got me into cornerworking. I remember motochik, edgar and toroq on there as well as a few others.

Toroq is the owner. Tom Pinky and Motochik are the other two Moderators. The place is somewhat alive as it is where I maintain contact with Becki, Tom Pinky, WickedGSXR and CycleTomm. I'll see all of them at Laguna this July.
Here's a shot of (L to R) Brother Dave the Man-Hore, Motochik and Tom Pinky. (Hore is not a misspelling. It's just that the correct spelling comes out as "whore", which isn't as bad as saying piss!  ;D )
Not a very good choice of a background.  :(

Met Motochik at Road America in 99, 00 or 01. Becki used to give me a hard time at Blackhawk Farms until she moved west. ;D

Every once in a blue moon I head back over to see if anything is going on. Wierd to see a months worth of posts on one page instead of teh 2 pages per day like it used to be. I even gave up running my FZR group there after they switched setups. Now its like spam central in teh groups now.

K3 Chris Onwiler

Aaron Yates, from the top rope, with a Diamond Cutter! ;D

No class rat bastage! >:(  I'm STILL cheesed about that stunt he pulled last year.
The frame was snapped, the #3 rod was dangling from a hole in the cases, and what was left had been consumed by fire.  I said, "Hey, we've got all night!"

Nope, it's Sean Clarke, AKA Mongo. Looked kinda like Saddam Hussein, thus the reference to the WERA site as "The Mother of All BBS's".  ;D
About 20-30 of us suddenly made that our avatar over there on Friday the 13th just to goof on him.

LOL!!!

When I was lurking over on the WERA board, I came across Mongo with a rabbit fur, ear flapper hat on (I'm sure they have a technical name for it).  Renee goes "Is that dad?"

I broke out laughing, there was a bit of a resemblence there.  I'll see if I can find the thread and let you judge for your self.

If you're gonna drag those pictures out, you might as well see the good one! By the way, back to the original subject, you all have about a week left to the deadline for the Daytona Pool.
