QuoteIt's just like every event. Put your stuff together , not pack up.The only difference is you have to be out of the paddock 1 hour after the last race of the day.
Well that shouldn't be tto bad if they have security and the likes (which I am sure they do, world class n stuff like that) OK so if you dont rent a garage bring a Jenny because the power sucks, and you don't have to take everyhthing home everynight. Good re-cap?

benefit of the garage:

-closer to the track entrance(before the reno. the open garages are facing the entrance to hotpit entrance. also closer to bathroom, closer to tech

-power. the old breakers tend to flip a lot, because 2 stalls share the same breaker and sometimes we see more than 8 sets of warmers gets plugged in :) but it is very cool to be able to run power tools and radio (if you want to) and charge your phone.

-shelter from the weather, much more effective than a ezup or 2.

-you can bring less, no need for a table or canopies...

-you can back your trailer infront of the garage so valuables can be put in it and locked.

security is world class, but there are always more thieves too. I managed to get a pitbull stand stolen down there before, and others next to me has lost helmet and tools.

you have 1 hour from the last checker to leave the garage, then they lock the entire track down.

With garages you simply close the door at the end of the day.

Your own setup parked outside of the garages you have to drop you canopy, tie everything down, put bikes away....whatever.

It gets a little windy around there, plus if it rains.....

Ok so 2 questions remain:

1)  How do we rent one?  Does it have to be done ahead of time?  Or is it first come, first serve?

2)  Does the fee include the ENTIRE garage?  Or is it half of a garage?

I called Tiffany and paid her with the credit card.  And she said it is for the whole garage NOT half like in the past.

Anyone find out what the cost of the garages are for the AMA weekend?  If I'm gonna get one I want it for the entire trip

Well, yeah...

Huge event that they make decent money at.  And the France family owns NASCAR...would you expect them not to have a lot of work to do.
