Is it possible to pre-enter for Daytona if you applied for a new number and it hasn't been assigned yet?  Maybe just fill it in and explain?  I just don't want to end up in the back.

I think it would be ok to give all your info except for your 2005 competition number since it hasn't been issued yet. In recent past most people haven't recieved their licenses until the season is about to start or even somewhat into the season (some not at all). If you wait until after the deadline for license renewal (I believe it's this up coming Friday 1/28/05) you could call and probably get confirmation of what # you recieved. :)

In the same boat, so I called CCS and they told me to go ahead and send in the preregistration form with the number I asked for and it would be fine :)
They said the number was not that important, it can be changed if needed.

I am optomistic that the 2005 entry with my our old number will not present problems with scoring or contingency or etc. if we change to the NEW number on race day. Right? ???

I think there are probably many of us in the same boat (trailer). ::)
