Too many people trying to get on.  You get whatcha pay for in this case.   I just had someone offer to host it on a better site and cover the domain charges-

Keep watching

Can you add, to the website, the estimated costs to pull this off?  That would help people like me who want to help, but need to get a measure of what's needed to make it all happen.

Thanks,

Russ

have you checked into the legalities and feasibility of this?  You're going to hit export laws dealing with vehicles and chemicals, not to mention you're exporting to a hostile area.  Then you'll have to deal with the military (who WILL say "no").

It's not like the folks over there are college kids who can have whatever they want.  They can have what the military tells them they can have.  I'll place a wager that a pair of CRF-Fiddy's aren't on the list.

It's a great idea, and if it's something that CAN work, that's awesome and we should do it.  However, I think you'll be up against far more than you can overcome in this idea...

Actually, the military doesn't really care in some cases. There are load restrictions, but you'd be surprised at what personnel can take with them. When Rhiannon was shipped over, there was talk of taking a dirt bike or two. Cargo planes aren't utilized to their capacity in many cases. When that happens, all you need in the CO's ok to get stuff on the plane and to the troops. Remember this is the military, so fuel, oil and coolant aren't exactly dangerous stuff for them.

Now if you are using a commercial shipping company, that's a whole new ball of wax, but why go that route when some reserve unit will probably be able to get it done?

Do or do not, there is no "try".

I should see if Rhiannon still has the "list" of what was recommended to take. Basicall everything just shy of a pair of CRF-fiddys.
