Yeah, I haven't figured out the final Gingerman race date.  MW on Oct 9th, GP on Oct. 10th.  I am assuming it is a typo.

As for Gingerman, you don't like it?  I love that track.  The only bad thing about it is the one day schedule.

Not to mention, how can anybody complain about a race season that goes to 8 different tracks in 9 races?

At least your not SE, you would be stuck running dam florida races. Time to switch race organizatons.

Another disappointing Great Lakes/Midwest schedule.

QuoteAnother disappointing Great Lakes/Midwest schedule.

Being from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, we love the schedule compared to last year.  MAM is about 14 hours but is a fun trip.  Everything else is about 6-8 hours now.  RA short at 4 hours.

Looks great to us!

You don't want to visit tracks like Grattan, Putnam and BeaveRun?  14 hours seems like a long hike for a track that's within the region.  Just my two cents.

I think the MW schedule looks great.  Two Autobahn dates, no Topeka runs, lots of BFR - doesn't get any better than that...MAM sort of sticks out a bit now, but, hey - looks like a great schedule.  Well done, CCS.

I guess that's the great thing about seeing the schedule a little earlier.
Everybody can get their bitch on before the Holidays.

None of that going on here.  Just voicing some opinions as a midwest racer.

We may hit Gratten this year if our schedule allows.  We'll see!

Only WERA will be racing there in 2005.  You guys are gonna pay for a WERA license, buy a transponder and do the additional wiring (presuming your bike(s) aren't already wired to WERA stds) just to try out a new track once?

Ya gotta share how you guys manage to do such stuff.  That's serious dedication.

I think they have a transponder rental for one event.  Like I said, we'll see.  Our budget will go to CCS first.

Heather

H-man

You're right.  They do have a transponder rental available.

As an additional consideration though, if Team Stumpy does choose to do more than a couple WERA events, you should keep an eye out for picking up a used transponder.  WERA has recently raised the rental rate (they openly noted they want to get out of the task of renting them).  It may be better to buy a used one.  It can always be sold again when you're done with it.

See you guys at the banquet. 8)

from a Chicago perspective, the schedule looks great.

Too bad no Putnam dates materialized under the Fasttrax banner. :-[

MZGirl

Looking foward to the '05 SW season!  Glad to see Arroyo Seco made it on there, and even for 2 dates.  Thanks to Kevin & Roger for working to make sure race dates between CCS SW & ASMA didn't conflict for next year.  That was a bit frustrating this year, but happy to see that it worked out for next year.

Oh, and I don't know how the CCS SW staff is going to pull off Sept, with back-to-back weekends.  A twin sprint in Vegas, then a Firebird Main the weekend after.   :o  Hopefully that will change when the schedule firms up a bit.

Super Dave

Haven't down loaded the current schedule...

But I have two Visionsports' Racer University dates at Blackhawk Farms....

May 26th

August 25th

In case anyone is interested in doing something...

Can someone explain to me why 6 of the 9 races in GP is either twin sprint or double points and no other region has more than 4. Makes it hard to miss around and still contend!

Thingy

I think that you can also race one WERA event without buying a license.  Anybody know for sure?

Ooo, ooo.  I know, I know.

"2. Have a current, valid WERA Competition License or other racing license designated as valid at a particular race. Only WERA Licensed riders will earn points toward an invitation to the Grand National Final. WERA will allow racers with the following current licenses to participate in two WERA event before said racer is required to purchase a WERA membership: CMRA, RACE, WMRRA, OMRRA, CRA, USCRA and AHMRA. Riders who participate in WERA events with another race organization's license ARE NOT EARNING WERA POINTS. Points are only awarded to racers with a current WERA License. Contingency awards are only available to racers with a current WERA license. Endurance team riders must all have valid WERA licenses."  [Chapter 7 - Rider & Crew Requirements - of TFB]

 8)

Funny thing is, I'm not sure whether they'd honour a CCS license for 2 of their events, whether the animous is so huge that a CCS license isn't honoured at all or there's no limit to the number of WERA events you may participate while using the CCS license.

2 Autobahn   dates !!  wow !!!

No Putnam ,   THis doesnt surprise me at all, in fact i would have been surprised if there were MC race dates there.

Fasttrax/GL    all Nelson Ledges,  thats surprising.

Midwest  11 weekends and only 1 super long trip  (MAM)   thats nice.

Topeka   only 1 time.    Surprised, but glad.

LP SRD  again,  not good to mix  racers with street guys prior to races.  BFR  are on Mondays,  but  TOpeka, Gingerman, GAteway  are during racers practice days.

Hopefully i can do more days this year.   Or do i save the money and do track days ??  I need a new bike.

Steviebee

OH  and   THANKS to CCS  for getting us a Prelim  schedule out EARLY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes  "WE"  i hope i mean most of us by we,   understand that this might/will change,  but  THANKS !!!!!

 ;D

Burt Munro

Hopefully any changes will only make it better!!

Still hoping that Mid Ohio and Road Atlanta works out for '05.

In case anyone forgot about the problem with 'changes':  Ask the 13 or 15 teams who drove to Road America for the Aug '03 FUSA round.  Only to find out it had been changed months earlier to Topeka!

Interesting Schedule! If my calendar is right (or the schedule is right) all of the Fasttrax races are on Sunday & Monday.
However, the best part is that on the 21st of August, the WERA racers get to shoot it out with the CCS racers on the same track and the same day. Wooo Hoooo! It'll be a hot time at the Ledges that weekend  ;D

KBOlsen

That's a kick-butt lookin' schedule.  Thanks, Tiff, Kevin and the whole Ft. Worth crew!

Just gotta remember to pay attention to the CCS site as the weather warms up and summer approaches!
CCS AM 815... or was that 158?

jp233

mid-atlantic schedule not looking great to me :( after all the complaining about Roebling twin sprints from this past year, now there's TWO twin sprints there????

and no VIR in April?

crap.

I agree.. I don't like the 05 schedule, so far.  I hope there's a couple more rounds to add for the SE region.

VIR & RRR only twice?
Barber and Jennings are too far and i'd only go if the Narionals are gonna be there.  Summit's close <5 hours, but I hate that track.

Sux.

Oh and add to that, the SE banquet is in Daytona.. boooooooo.

sorry, newbie here....

what is a twin sprint?  is it two race schedules in one weekend?

like a double header?
what if the hokey pokey really is what it's all about?

Burt Munro

Yes....  Full list of Sprint races on Saturday and then on Sunday run the same Sprint races but in reverse order. (Race #1 on Sat becomes race #17 on Sun, Race #17 Sat becomes races #1 Sun, etc.)
