Project SV Streetfighter: Week 1 {pics!}

The tail section is toast, I never liked that area of the bike anyway so I want to replace it with the tail off a Kawi H1 and a custom sub-frame.

Don, so what do you have for a subframe?  The pic is a little dark there.  But I can plainly see the shock.





Pics of my pipes?  Probably not until it gets to Daytona in March.  Just watch in Cycle News then for the big win... ;D

Time's been short but I finally got back on track...
Here's the latest pics.  I've finished the subframe and fitted the tail and seat)took 4" of length out of the seat).  The subframe upper struts are 1/8" thick 3/4"X 3/4" steel angle and extend 2" past the vertical line drawn throught the axle (for the regs...).  I also mounted the rear brake reservoir, fitted an Acerbis blitz headlight for street riding, mounted SV650"S" clip-ons, upper triple and front master cylinder... Racetech springs and emulators have already been ordered, I already have pre-load adjuster caps.  I also got a 636 rear shock (better spring, 3 way adjustable and better ride height...)  For street riding I'll be using a Magellan Sportek GPS mounted on the gas tank or triple as my speedo.  

Now I 'just' have to finish the inner fender, mount the electronics and sandblast & paint.  I'm thinking black with orange rally stripe(s).

I don't think that will be necessary, too much power.  I think I will only need 0.5 gigawatts for this project.

Come on and get busy!! I want to see the tail in the air and a 12 o clock bar put into action!! Some circle burn outs and of course some riding on the tank backwards! I wish you lived in phx Id help get that beast on the road and into the police impound!!hehe Well keep on showing some pics ,so we can have a giggle knowing someone will be hurt,arrested or if your not so lucky bolth. PLEASE PLEASE DO SOME STUPID STUFF IN THE PICS!!!  you know, ride it with no subframe or no handle bars....stupid stuff that is dangerously funny. have fun and try to keep the bleeding to a minimium!  ;D

No! But if I do stupid stuff it helps ;D. I love naked bikes,you can throw them on the ground pick them up and they look the same. they are the perfect pill!! If you've ever seen my race bikes you'd laugh. But I do it for fun not show. My 04 r6 has a 01 zx6 tail and belly with an f2 upper..hehe some wind shield of of something and the prettiest tank I've ever had on any of my bikes. If you know someone with a dented one let me know,cause i cant have something nice on my race bike. I'll cry if i smash it :'(.
