OK I cant get on to ccsracing.com and I dont have my rule book handy, so if any one knows the answer that would be cool,..

for amature number plates, does the color have to be "yellow" or can a "neon/florcent" yellow/ kinda green, be used ?

thanks

The color has to be yellow.  They were making neon green change to yellow at the last Blackhawk.

thanks, the neon would be cool to use though ohh well :(

Neon looks cool, but if your transponder failed, it is hard for the scorers to see and would really suck to not get properly scored.

In the Mid-Atlantic region it needs to be a true "John Deer Tractor" yellow.  At the beginning of the year I had my bike painted with the Krylon "High Visibility" Yellow (i.e. neon yellow with a slight green tint) and they made me tape over the plate area with Yellow Duct Tape.

I don't see how that color could ever be mistaken for anything other than Yellow (certain not white) and cause a problem for those scoring - but - its their playground and you have to play by their rules.

I had the privilege of spending the day as Assistant Starter at the last Gingerman.  You'd be surprised at the difference background color makes - especially when you're trying to read the numbers of 5-6 bikes at a time, blasting by at 130 mph, with the glare of the afternoon sun bouncing off the bikes.
CCS AM 815... or was that 158?
