... that it's not a bad idea to keep two computers in the house.    ;D

My custom built one... well, doesn't turn on any more (I think the switch is bad).  So...  pull out the old computer with the 28.8 modem and a hard drive that is 90% full and plug it in.

Whoo Hooo!

Back on-line.

Now I need to get my other one fixed.   :-/

Nah....  Not a Mac.

I work with Window based programs at work so I might as well keep it the same at home.  I can't complain much.  My computer that doesn't turn on...  the housing is from 1998 or 1999 (right after the Intel Pentium III 500 mhz chip came out).  I just kept upgrading this, and upgrading that, well I supposed something had to go.

Now only if they would make DSL technology to come out to where I live, life would be good.  Since I'm 7.2 cable miles from the nearest CO or OPM, dial up is the only option for me.  With all the repeaters that the singal needs to go through, I get 26400 bps no matter what the modem speed.

I guess I should be complaining about only getting 3.5mbps then. ;D ;D ;D ;D
