Special Purse Money! & thanks!

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank Russ Intravartolo for putting up the extra purse money at Blackhawk Farms Raceway over the past weekend.

I was the lucky recipient of money for first place in Middleweight Superbike and second place in Middleweight Supersport.  

Russ and I had the opportunity to talk prior to the weekend.  Really, the money was a REAL bonus.  So, I told him that I was donating the whole amount to the Wegman Fund and to my race against childhood cancer program.  His reply was that he'd match my donation.  So, both sides get the full amount of my winnings.

Russ has been an active road racer when he can, and he actively works with the Wegman Benefit program.  

He's worked very hard at his businesses, and that has left him the great opportunity to do things like he does for racers.

Currently, Russ' business has launched broadband telephone service.  It's so inexpensive that I need to think about getting broadband here at home because I'd have an overall savings.

Russ will have more purse money up for grabs at the next Blackhawk Farms event (the Wegman Benefit weekend) and he'll have some special bonus money also.

Dave, your help and appreciation is awesome!  Having you say Thanks in your sincere way makes this so enjoyable for me.  

Yes, like we talked, I'll match your winnings and donate those to the Wegman.

I received a Thank You note from someone else who won some of the purse money we put up.  The note was circulated through my office, and there was a lot of pride and smiles from the other StarNet people.

We'll be putting up the same purse money for the Wegman Weekend races in a few weeks, as well as additional funds for other, more unconventional events:

Hat Trick:  $300 paid if you WIN all 3: Unl Grand Prix, MW Supersport, MW Grand Prix, expert.

First Lap Leader:  $100, race yet to be determined, Ideas?

10th Place:  $250, Race yet to be determined, Ideas?

Amateur Lightweight SB, $250 purse, $125-1st, $75-2nd, $50-3rd

UNL GP Pole:  $100, Expert only

Of course, it's all in the name of VoiceEclipse!

If anyone has a suggestion for the two payouts that we haven't decided on yet, please feel free to send me a suggestion.
