I was wanting to know who exactly it was that t-boned me in the hairpin this weekend in the mwgp? For that matter who else was in the corner at the time when it happened? I have a few questions that I would like answered.

Your best way to determine this is by looking at the race results for that race (that is if you both completed a lap).  Since Barber was such a huge event, there may be more that one AM #151.  It would be a shame if the wrong one was confronted.

Good Luck,

I was in turn 4 with you 2 when that happened.  That guy had made 3 crazy passes on me in practice and I tried to make it a point to stay ahead or away from him in that race.  He was braking way late and nearly running off the track and I'd go back under him.

I was on your right when you got smashed I had to wait untill you guys slid off the track before I could turn in.

AM #151 broke his C-bone in the incident, he was pitted across from us with the Howlie Boys.

Hope your alright...It's things like these that make me wish I was racing in the expert classes.

Is it a silver CBR600rr?  If so, nice kid and fast, but he has been finding the limits the hard way this year.

All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy

Are you 100% sure it was #151? The guy that broke the collar bone that was with thte Howlie boys was Am #7 something on a Silver and Green bike. He is from Georgia.

I was thinking of the Green bike with the Howlie Boys, I think it was Schnettler that got taken out wasn't it?

I just remember seeing two bikes collide in T4, and the guy I saw running wide in practice was the guy on the crash truck after the race.

Hope it wasn't me (747, silver 954rr)  I don't recall making any passes like that into T1.  ...but was doing some fast passing all day....I'm sure some of the slower guys had to have been spoked...but they were clean.  No wait...I wasn't in mwgp...never mind.

I was the one with the green bike pitted with the howlie boys. my # is 742, and I promise I wasnt running wide through the entrance of that corner. I was the one who ended up in the ambulance, the other guy was on the crash truck. I broke my collar bone and I do believe that he walked away. He had said someone bumped into him and thats why he smacked into me. I admit I was braking pretty late in that corner but my theory is if there is a posibility of taking someone else out then I will sacrifice myself before that happens. This is the 2nd time Ive been taken out by someone else, this time I would like an explanation. Chuck, I promise you the green bike (me) was the one who got taken out. I have a black mark on the side of my tail from where he hit me from the side. If you feel like I made some crazy passes on you I appologize, but have faith that I was taking no extra chances this weekend.

Chuck

oops...my bad.   :P

I guess didn't get as good of look at what happened as I thought.  I was on the outside of that corner trying not to get collected.

To the gent on the green bike-

No harm no foul, it just took you a couple of corners to get by me I guess.  I kept having to go back under you after you went on my inside during practice.  Usually I can't make it back under anyone in the same corner unless the rider goes way wide after the pass.  Hope you heal up well, and sorry for making you out to be the cause of that incident when it was the other way around.

Chuck, no problem. I was tring a few different things in practice and do not like making close passes during practice. I was typically running three to four seconds slower in practice, trying to get my flow. I always noticed when I came around you since I saw you were pitted across from me. Seriously, If you thought I was riding like an a$$ you should have came over and talked to me. I wouldnt want anyone to have hard feelings, thats not what racing is all about at our level.  By the way, in the hair pin if you cut it tight and let your self drift out in the exit clear to the curbing you can get a better drive and beat who ever into the cork screw, even if they came back on the inside.

So did anyone else see this happen or does anyone remember bumping into 151 like he had said. Would like some answers to get some resolve. Will be a while before I am able to race again and would prefer to know exactly what happened.

Chuck

I looked up some results from Topeka...Amature #151 is Mark Schnettler.  Again sorry for getting the facts mixed up.

By what I have heard...Mark passed an expert on the inside of a corner then he felt like his rear tire got loose in the next corner, but in fact he was being run into by someone who took him out. Apparently the rider that ran into him was a new racer that had just taken the rider school that week and had three crashes that weekend. Mark is a ver consciencious rider and a great person. He has a strong will to succeed but an even greater appreciation for safety.
