For the record I have video of me making a Michilen Pilot "pop"

MELK-MAN

Just to give my 2c on "more grip".. YES.. i just tried the new MICHELIN slick that is not REALLy a full blown slick. It is a DOT carcass and DOT profile. That way there is no real setup change needed for the bike for us club guys that dont have 2 or 3 bikes and teams to make changes.. I ran 2 SEConDS faster in the very next race having NEVER ran this type of tire.. Was cutting 1:35-36 in my last race at Barber on Sat. Then 1st thing sunday am after having only 2 practice laps as the session was cut short, was leading the race with no traffic and doing consistant mid/high 1:33's . I LOVE these new tires..
Oh yea.. lots cheaper than the DOT race Michelins too.
