Camping at Las Vegas

Planning our trip out to vegas in Sept for the national. I know some people camped out during the last rounds there. Can you tell me if there was a time the gates locked and you weren't allowed in or out? It would suck to be locked into the track while staying in Vegas.

The last couple of times we were there, they wouldnt allow it if my memory serves me correctly...

thanks Cory. I know last time we showed up there were pits that had very obviously been there the night before (gates weren't even open yet). Also, I think they talked about camping being allowed despite the "official stance" ahead of time being no camping.
