QuoteSee that little box on the homepage of the BBS that says keep me logged in for X amount of time.  Type 1000 into it, and then leave the browser open all day long.  That's how.   What makes you think I was lurking?  Don't you think I would've posted by now...  Geez, you guys should know that I can't keep my mouth shut for 4 minutes, let alone 5 days... ::)

You forgot I actually do know math. 1000/60= 16.66 hours. That is less than one day. You have been lurking the last few days. Don't try and deny it. Keeping the browser open means nothing. Once the browser retrieves the page and 20 minutes go by, the session ends. It does not refresh anything or send any more information to the website. Let's not even get into the other lie that your T1 "blew up". Remember, I work with this technology all day. This IS what I do for a living...

I told you no to try to bullsh1t the bullsh1tter's!

Don't give up on your dreams! If an illiterate like K3 can write a book, imagine what you can do!

QuoteYes I can! ÊSo far this year I've seen (and worked the weekend at) 2 Topeka dates, Road America, Gateway, MAM, July Blackhawk and Gingerman.

Planning on doing the next 2 Blackhawk's and Gingerman and possibly doing Barber and the ROC.

And during that same time you've made it to what?
One 6 hr Enduro at Grattan? (which by the way if you do another one you may want to bring more than 10 gal. of fuel!)

Yeah, I'm an old fart! ÊBut I'm an old fart who shows up at tracks because he enjoys helping out so you guys can race and being around some friends I've made.

I think I'd rather be that kind of an old fart than a young smart ass who seems to talk nothing but B.S. and thinks that if he throws enough money at it he'll be fast! Ê

Get a clue Dan - take some of that money you've spent on bikes and put it into some schools and track time where you might actually LEARN how to RIDE fast instead of just talking fast! Ê

I would really like to meet you some time. ÊBut I guess that would involve you actually showing up at a track!!

Rick

Damn Rick, relax, I was just messin' wit cha...

Unfortunately, this year I couldn't make it to the race track as much as I use to.  Last year, all I did is go to the track.  Every weekend and every Monday.  This year, I have too much to do at work that I have to be there for.  Chances are, if you went to Gingerman or Grattan last year at all, I was there.  But this year, I don't have the time.  I wish I did.   :'(

Then I don't know.  Maybe when I go online, but I haven't really been lurking.  I would've logged out then.  I just leave it at 1000 so I don't gotta keep logging in.

As far as the T1 box (router, ect.) I think it blew up from a surge.  The power supply isn't even powering up.  I'm waiting on SBC to send me a new one.  Dunno what happened.  Power went out, and it hasn't powered up since.  I should've plugged it into a surge protector  >:(

Rick

I don't throw money at bikes trying to get "faster."   ???   I throw money at bikes cause I like decking them out.  I'm one of those people that can't leave anything alone. It has absolutely nothing to do with making the bike faster or "better." I gotta make it the way I like it, that's really the only reason.

I seriously doubt you would have met Rick last year Dan.  Aside from the one Fasttrax school and race w/e you did last year, all your time was STT track days.

Don't get me wrong, track days are great and Monte & Bonnie run great events.  However, Rick was at races at the track.  You wouldn't have met him.

Will we see you at Gingerman on 10/9-10 Dan?

BTW, Rick, that was you at pit out, eh?  Thanks for what you do for us.  You don't know me and probably won't connect a face with my name but I chatted with you a little bit in the head on Sunday morning.  We exited as the national anthem was being sung.

Actually, I was at the CCS Round last year at Gingerman, but I didn't race.  I watched.  I did a track day the day after the races.  I was also at last years Grattan rounds for WERA, but again I didn't race.   I was also at the WERA GNF last year.  I cornerworked all the days of the GNF.

As far as what rounds I'll be at, I'd love to say yes, but it will be hard to tell until the last minute.   Everything is packed, and as long as I can leave for a few days without all hell breaking loose at work, I'll be there.  Last weekend, the wife decided to see what happens when a Honda Civic meets the rear bumper of an F250  >:(  So, I had to buy a new car, and now I can't get my car when I turn my truck in, in Nov.

Damnit, I wanted a 300C and now I got a damn Pacifica  >:(

Uh... yeah okay::)  But we're talking about times at the track as a participant ::)

Seriously, I'm not sure how to take you on this Dan.  I'm thankful that your wife and child are okay.  But they were in a accident bad enough to have a modern Civic (approx. 2,500 lbs) totaled, eyt they're okay and driving a new Pacifica in the next couple days ???

On thop of that, the very next week, she has the frightening experience of plowing over some large object on 696 (where the minimum speed is around 65) and getting all 4 tires shot out?

Dan, push away from the keyboard and put your attention where it should be.  Go comfort your wife.  I'm surprised she isn't afraid to drive and doesn't ask you to chauffer her around for a while.

The views expressed are just my own.

First of all...  Dan.. What you had aint a bad day. Now I had a bad day!  I finally took delivery of my Ferrarri 360 Modena and it didn't come with the Louis Vuitton interior like I custom ordered!  >:( And if to add insult to injury, there's not enough room in my 6 car garage to fit the new Ferrari so I had to drive it to my shop and park it next to my Mercedes S55! Can you believe the crap I have to go thru? Oh and if that wasn't enough... I ran into Suge Knight at the airport and I had to whoop his ass cuz he got loud with me.

Well, she's alright and so is the baby.  The Civic isn't totaled, but I'm a firm believer that once a car has been in an accident, it's worthless. It's hit pretty good though, and I think insurance will total it out, but it is fixable.  So, I leased her a new Pacifica with all the bells and whistles on Tuesday, and then last night she ran over parts of the dog house or whatever.  She didn't actually hit the dog house, but she ran over every single nail that was in it so it seems. The tires didn't blow up on 696, but when she got home and parked the car, an hour later all the tires were flat. So, I blew them up, went over to Belle Tire, and then they looked at the tires and said I need 4 new ones cause they can't put that many patches/plugs or whatever in the tires.  Too many holes.  One of the tires had 19 nails in in.  ???  Anyways, been a rough week.  Thanks for the concern thoughy  :)
