Do you sincerely believe it was due to the high oil level in the motor?

No, I don't think the engine failure had anything to do with the high level of oil in the motor, but I'm not sold that high levels of oil prevent engine failure.

That was my point.  :)

Understandable, because I don't have hard evidence or proof of running a high oil level helps either. I'm just basing my Hypothesis on commom sense how the simple little SV motor works.

A higher oil level should let more oil get to the cylinder that is prone (Rear Cylinder under hard braking or front cylinder during front end lofting)
