Race Result Sheet Question(s)

Okay, let me start by stating that after only one event, I am not presuming to say how things should be run.

I have some confusion about reading the race result sheets though.

For a number of the races at Gingerman, experts and amateurs were in the same wave.  But the results separated the experts from the amateurs and didn't give any total time.

How do you guys (and gals) figure out how you did overall?

Also, the lap column had a "1" for all the riders.  Does that mean everyone finished on the same lap as the leader (i.e., everyone did the 8 laps)?  Or is that some sort of system malfunction?

TIA

You won't know how you did overall unless you have someone watching for you.  Since amateur and expert are scored separately, there is no need for CCS to provide an overall place listing.

The one lap thing is just a default, it doesn't mean a thing.

On a similar topic, what is the performance index in  ???points, how is it calculated and what does it mean?

I think the performance index is just a percentage based on your finish and how many were in the field. First place gets a 1000. 2nd out of 20 would get a 950. 18 out of 20 would get a 100 (1000-(1000/20*[18]). 2nd out of 5 would get an 800.

Am I right? It seems to match my PE of 299  ;D

tzracer

performance index = [(T-A)/T]*1000
 where
T = total number of people in your races, including yourself
A = total number of people who finished ahead of you
