Why does everyone bitch about MM.  I wish there were more guys like him.

Atleast he's realistic. Hell, even Edwards would hand him his ass in GP. He'd definetly be fighting for 10th every round. The only thing I find kind of amusing is that he said that he didn't want to race against Rossi. Like he had a chance in hell in the first place ::) His #1 plate here makes absolutely no difference over there. Edwards learned that the hard way and he did WSBK.

Take that all you "armchair racers." ;D

Atleast I'm on the podium.  The lazyboy rocks  ;D :P

Chuck

I wanna race my Lazyboy  ???  :D

GSXR RACER MIKE

I personally like the guy, he says it how it is and doesn't really hold back. I especially like the statement about him wanting to "stick a screwdriver in his eye" before running 10th in GP! ;D

I really respect him for being willing to sacrafice a championship that obviously means a lot to him for standing up for the safety.

This whole read was good, but I still question where this is coming from. Ever since the Aaron Yates incident, Matt's attitude has changed his whole image, interviews, persona and all. Maybe he just changed but seeing how it was just this year somehow in the back of my mind I still think it's all just an image Suzuki has asked him to step up and create, to help with their image. Who knows, unless someone here is friends with him and can shed some truly personal light on the subject. LOL

that was an awesome article...

i like him more now for that as well.....
and good to see he thinks about saftey ., unlike a few others.....

Chuck

Any thoughts on gearing for my Lazyboy at Barber?  I might attach a side car.

People crack me up who want to bash Mladin.  I can tell you from being passed by him countless times in 2 years, I still think he's the most talented rider out there in the AMA.  He truly is amazing to watch on a motorcycle up close and personal.

He's getting paid a lot of money to go win championships and he knows what makes himself tick.  Mat is who is who he is.

Let me ask you this, If you had the choice of getting paid 100K to go around and hang out and socialize at an AMA event or be focused and dedicate yourself to your profession and make a million a year which would you choose?

Mladin is very smart, he knows he can't race forever and is making the most of it while he is here.  He's setup his own import import business and other things so when he retires he and his family are taken care of for life and he'll still be in his 30's.

Can't fault a guy for that just because he doesn't socialize as much a people want him to.
