we are pretty much nothing to DIS they make very little off of us and could probably care less whther we were there or not, so to stay in good with them, we're moving to one of their other tracks.  If youve never been to homestead, dont knock it.
And if i hear one more person bitch that some people have a home track advantage, im gonna lose it.  So what if Florida region runs there, if your a good racer, u can pick up the line and pace in a single track day there and beat those locals at there home turf so u can have something to brag about

Now that's the attitude of a real racer who just happens to live in Florida! 8)

Well that's my plan ;D  I don't know if I can beat the guys who have experience on this track, but I'm really looking forward to the ROC and getting pumped.  I do wish it was at Barber, or a plain more all around accessible track.  But I'm not going to complain too much. :P

obviously you have no clue how much it cost to put on an event like the ROC.compared to every other event,DIS loses money on the ROC,and to say you won a nt'l at DIS (one of the most famous speedways in the world) is saying alot.So if we have to go to Homested once,to preserve DAYTONA so be it.To say they (fla. racers)have a home track advantage makes me want to train and race harder. Is the AMA going to cancel road atlanta because yates grew up racing that track.Part of becoming a better roadracer is learning tracks.look at geoff may...first time running most of the AMA tracks and running top 10 almost every week in superbike. To say you're not going to homested because you feel the fla. riders have an advantage would be like saying you're not going to race ama because the others riders have been there before.Maybe you not ready to race for a championship. As for me I'll go to homested with the intent to win, just my 2cts.And for those of you that know me ,yes i do live in fla. but the last time i was at homested was in 1997.I can't tell you what i had for dinner last night,so don't think i remember the fast way around the track. ;D
