:o  Can you teach me how to do a wheelie like that  :'(

Super Dave

Endurance racing is about laps.  'Bout it.  Anything can happen.  Yeah, you can have fast riders and lots of prep...sometimes things happen.

Still it will be hard.

I've got one of those LP screw in things.  It's ok.  Not the greatest, but it was good.  Still have it.  Thinking about selling it.  $100?

Screws into a Jazz Jug...I've got one 5gal jug that it doesn't work on.  Seems that the threads are different.

Drop me a note.... ;D

Go for it, Dan.

We should start a betting pool!   ;D

1. Will someone run into Dan from behind due to speed difference?   ::)

2. On which lap?

3. Will Dan admit the real slow lap time recorded on the mylaps.com are his, not his teammate's?   ::)

4. Will Dan be black flagged for riding too slowly on the track by the official for the sack of other racer's safety before he got nailed from behind?   ;D

5. Will Dan be able to race at all?   ::)

I"m definetly doing this race, and I've got the licensing approvals I needed to run it, so I"m definetly in.  Dave, any recommendations to help the 6 hours run a little smoother?  Like pace, ect.? Obviously, nobody can run the whole 6 hours at their fastest pace, so should you start a slower pace up front, when the green flag drops, then save your fastest laps for the last hour or so..    ???  Any information will be greatly appreciated.

Sunny, I don't want any answer on this from you.

Simple is always good.

Start drinking water now.  I like to go out feeling like I gotta pee.  My body will absorb it later as I get hot.

I like bikes to be easy to ride.  That's a key.  If it isn't, it will be a long ride.  You can't ride at 100% as your brain gets taxed.  I figure 90% or so;  fast enough that I can entertain myself by waving at people, looking for pit signals, etc.

Get a dry erase board for signals.  Signals of any kind are good.  Really, it just needs to be some kind of entertainment for the rider.  Pictures, obsenities, etc. are good.

Play games.  Anything to entertain yourself.

Use others.  Let them push wind for you.  Follow them;  it allows you to rest your mind a bit while they think about what's happening while you just read the back of their leathers for a bit.  You'll watch their mistakes, see their tires go off, etc.

At certain times, I'll just go out and blast a few good laps to use a different part of the tire to manage the wear a bit.

Oh, and if it's really hot...I might not ever tuck up on any straight.  Staying cool is very important.

Hope this helps...you've got an e-mail about the fuel thing.
