Jim,

Is your Duramax engine a gas or diesel burner?  I've a F-150, but it has the small (4.2L), gas powered V8.

Got a link for more info on that programmer chip you mention?

The DuraMax is GM's turbodiesel.  I know they make chips for diesels on the big-3 (GM DuraMax, Ford Powerstroke, and the Dodge Cummins) but I don't know about the gas motor.

Here's a link to their website, might want to dig around:  http://www.edgeproducts.com/

4.2L is the V6.  4.6L or 5.4L is V8 now.

Programers for gas motors?  Superchips is probably the way to go...

But a gas motor will never be able to have the thermodynamic efficiency of a diesel without a lot of work...and then it probably won't be as reliable.
