O.K. heres my 2 cents on this..... Real or not I hope this never happens to anyone I know... or don't know for that matter..... And if I am every struck by a truck and either wedged underneath it or on top of the friggin hood half way thru the damn windshield, I hope I have someone right there with me telling me things are going to be O.K. (even if they are not) OR atleast put the stupid camera down and help out....

I'm calling BS too...

Although I don't think in a situation like that you should move anyone til' the paramedics come... I can't see how people could be leaning against the truck all nonchalant like nothing is going on....
ya' know?

No, that photo doesn't ring true.  How could those people by the old truck stand there and have a casual conversation while a guy was laying on the hood?  And if Bo was under the Suburban, why wasn't there anyone near him, either trying to keep him calm or having a hysterical fit?  The whole scene looks way too relaxed.
For the record, I was once a dedicated backroad racer.  Been there, seen this.  Usually, it was another group.  Sometimes, it was someone from our group.  Once, it was me.  I hated it, and was torn between my love of riding and the horror of injury and fatality.  Scenes and scenes and scenes like this drove me to the track.  Soon, I didn't even own a streetbike.  B.S. or not, this picture brings back a flood of bad old memories for me. :'(
The frame was snapped, the #3 rod was dangling from a hole in the cases, and what was left had been consumed by fire.  I said, "Hey, we've got all night!"

From the link:
This photo is from a group ride yesterday (Sunday). A bunch of
friends
from Springfield, MO went for a group ride in northern Arkansas. Great
roads, great weather, great day for a ride. Unfortunately an unknown
'new kid' on a 600RR joined the ride, with a a horrible ego/skill
ratio.
The guys were afraid to mention it to him, out of politeness I guess.

They should have. His riding ended up causing tens of thousands in
damage, probably hundreds of thousands in medical, and only by the
grace
of God was no one killed. BARELY.

This is a shot taken at the scene of the accident, mere seconds after
the crash. 'Bo' (lower left corner, *UNDER* the truck), is the new CBR
600RR rider that overcooked the corner and proceeded to lowside and
wedge himself *under* the Chevy.

The older white Ford in the photo veered into the oncoming lane to go
around the wreck, decided against it, and started backing down the
hill.
This is where Jason (Duc rider, Springfield Police Officer) met the
truck, 1/2 way around the corner. Jason jumped from the bike just
before impact, and ended up with his head/shoulder through the
windshield. Paul (following behind Jason) hit the old Ford as well,
though didn't sustain as much damage.

Luckily the other riders knew enough not to move ANYONE, so they left
Bo under the truck, and Jason on the hood. Bo might lose his right
arm;
the doctors haven't decided yet. Jason was conscious the whole time,
but understood not to move. Good thing. He's got a fractured C7
vertabra (I think the same thing that happened to Christopeher Reeves).

So...next time you think it's rude or impolite to tell that 'over his
head' rider to cool down or screw off, think of this.

AS weird as the pic looks it IS real.
The guy in the truck was drunk and backed up w/ the guy on the hood.  The guy on the hood is a cop.  He was conscience and talking, he just didn't want to move in case of V  fractures (which he had).
I don't know why the guys are standing around, don't know why they are picking up bikes.  I do know their website is going nutz about this accident.  The guy under the truck has severe burns from the exhaust, multiple fractures, and from last I heard prolly losing an arm.

There is a guy in our streetriding club who was on this ride.  It happened.  There are also a lot more pictures of the incident.
I am w/ the other guy who said it...who would take pictures of this???? :-/

You guys be careful on your streetrides.
