So what's the deal here?  I have to buy a new license, pay different fees and have different tech qualifications???

Reading the Fastraxx rules, liquid cooled honda's require case covers, but don't require it on R6's or GSXR's (like every other organization).  What's the deal with that?!?  Honda's aren't ever really required to have (aftermarket) case covers or additional protection.

Hey JeF4y,

You won't need to pay for a new license.  Now that Fastraxx is a region w/in CCS, they'll honor the CCS license.  As a matter of fact, my new license from the folks in Texas assigned me to the GR (Fastraxx') region.

As for the different tech requirement, I'd suggest contacting Bob Stanley (330 494-8410 or rstanley@neo.rr.com).

Good luck next week.

I emailed Bob, so we'll see what he says.  Good to know on the license.  Now it's just whether they'll take my RR without any additional case protection.

It's breaking my heart that I can't go to Grattan.  I just don't have the money.  That is one of my all-time favorite tracks, and Fastrax is even having an endurance race!  What a sucky time to be broke!
The frame was snapped, the #3 rod was dangling from a hole in the cases, and what was left had been consumed by fire.  I said, "Hey, we've got all night!"

You don't need to buy an entire case cover. Just get some think aluminum stock about 1- 1 1/2" wide and make a guard. That has always sufficed for the FZRs. And a much cheaper alternative for a track you might not run regularly.

Do or do not, there is no "try".

K3... I'm feeling your pain.

I've got a ride on an endurance team... was supposed to be @ grattan last weekend practicing... and am most likely done for the season as a result of some unanticipated vet bills.

Hey - maybe I should hook you up with Mark... wanna go flog a baby Hawk?
CCS AM 815... or was that 158?
