She wanted me to tell or remind everyone that the Road America make ups are being held at Heartland Park June 19th.  The races are mixed in with practice so it won't effect the regular race schedule.  We are to be getting a letter/postcard in the mail that serves as our "free pass" for practice and the races that are to be re started.

Thanks Chuck, good to know!   :)

That's great!

Now... what about those of us who requested refunds like a MONTH ago?

I found out yesterday that the (Refunds) will be in the form of voutchers. What the hell? I pre enter on line for ALL my races. How would we use the vouchers in conjunction with on line registration? I was under the distinct impression that we would have the fees refunded to our VISA accounts... or what ever card was used. I called Linda yesterday and left a message for her to call me. I'm still waiting...  :( Should I hold my breath??  :-X

Well, if they refuse, you could decline the charges.  :-/

I'm not sure I follow you Nate. Decline the charges? They already have my money. There is nothing to decline at this point.

all you have to do is call your CC company, dispute that particular charge, they'll credit your account back that amount, and work out the rest with the merchant.

yes, its that easy

TZDeSioux

credit us with a freaking voucher?? I wonder if i can enter races with an IOU written on a sheet of paper.

Ouch.

That is the problem using those Debit cards.  Once they have the money... it's gone.  Use a real CC next time.

I personally don't have a problem if they issue vouchers.  Either give me $220 in charges back to my CC, or $220 in vouchers, it's all the same to me.  JUST GIVE IT TO ME ALREADY!

Are you positive about that? I thought that if its a Visa Check card but its ran as a credit card the bank still makes their 3% and you still get the regular protection from Visa.  If its ran as a debit card (when you enter your PIN) then you don't get the protection but the merchant doesn't get charged the 3%.  Therefore its always in your best interest to run it as a credit card.

How did you pay? You might want to contact your bank.  The only downside to a dispute w/ a check card transaction vs a credit card transaction is that the money is currently out of our account. Until the dispute is settled you won't see it. If it was a credit card it would be transparent to you - you'd never pay the balance as the credit card company would take care of it for you.
