Cory,

I wanted to thank you before I left the track but I didn't get a chance.  So, I thought that thanking you on a semi-public forum would be best.

I ask Cory to give a little special attention to my sponsor when he called me out on the track.  My sponsor, Cochise Motorsports, (shameless plug) was there.  Not only the owner, but several employees.  Everytime that Cory would announce my name he would include Cochise Motorsports as well.  The guys cheered everytime they heard it.

Cory, thank you.  It's actions like yours that help to promote the sport.  Cliff Allison, the owner of Cochise Motorsports, once told me that sponsorship is just another method of throwing away money.  He stated that rarely did any additional business come out of it.  For those of you nay-sayers, Cliff used to race professionally both off-road and on.

Your announcing may not have brought any additional business to his shop, but you brought happy faces to the owner and the employees everytime they heard their shop mentioned.  That alone goes a long way to continued sponsorship.

THANK YOU.  ;D

Dave I couldn't agree more.  Cory does a great job . . . and we could finally hear him on the Firebird PA.  He's very good at roaming the pits and finding out a little something about many of the racers.

Wow that's really cool, too bad now there will be 100 guys asking Cory to do that at the next race including me haha!  Way to go Cory, hopefully see you at Streets.

Thanks to all you guys.  I really don't mind tossin gout the word to sponsors and wish it was easier for me to do it more.  The grid sheet I get with sponsors is long, hard to read and when standing on a cooler on top of a table, hard to juggle with everything else I have to do ;), but as many know, I have been very active in trying to get more people, sponsors and racers to the track for years.  It is good to hear that it may be working out a bit.  I guess all we can do is keep trying and having fun while doing it.  I hope to hit some more Pacific events if Kevin and my boss can make it happen and really cannot wait until Vegas and the FUSA event!  Thanks Dave, BMG and Tristan and the rest of the SW/PA region lurkers out there!

As always, Thanks Cory!  :)

Dave, I'm glad to see you are no longer an upside-down turtle!
