I competed in the Summit Point races this weekend. Overall a terrific, well run event. One constructive critique for CCS: You HAVE to limit the 7am registration to practice groups 1 and 2.  Very few of us made the initial practice sessions (unless they arrived in time to register the night before).

I know the schedules say this, but someone needs to enforce it.  Perhaps make the 8-9am registration just groups 3-5, or whatever, but we need to sequence registration and tech to get practices in. This will be important at VIR, where there is no day-before practice.

email or call them.

Don't 'expect' them to see your complaint on here.

Remember, this is not their forum.

no -- for the guys ALREADY pre-registered. It still took 1 hr to get through the line, even if you were waiting at the door 20 minutes early. This is no good for racers in gps 1 and 2 (am) that want/need both practices.

FWIW, I know that in the midwest, if you are in the early group and there is a log line at tech, you can ask them and they will let you cut to the front of the line...

I know one thing that slowed the pre-entry lines at Summit were the add-on entries that lots of the pre-registered riders made. (Mostly GT classes or Team Challenge.)  Our policy is that pre-entered registration has twice as many lines available as post-entry, but this doesn't help when riders add-on.

We will look for a way to improve the speed of the lines without compromising the legal criteria that our registrars must follow.

VIR's early registration will be from 3:00pm to 5:00pm for Formula USA Team Owners and then from 5:00pm to 7:00pm for all riders.

See you there.

Kevin,

Can you comment on this program?  Myself and my teammate have BOTH called and requested information on this, and Dan was promised an OVERNIGHT package 4 months ago on it - and we STILL have not seen anything.

Does anybody else here know what the heck the Team Owner Program is?

Are you planning on doing something about the on-line pre reg's that you received and sent conf #'s to but didn't bother to process and complete the transaction...? Putting the screws to the rider who took the time to lay his/ her money down for a good grid position...? In the future I suggest, If you (CCS) send a conf# and you fail to process it,  the Time and Date of the conf should be used to obtain the proper grid positioning...!!!

You get a conf #  from the preregister ??

I get nothing like that,  I get the automated response that says thankyou for pre-registering, but doesnt say what i registered for, or when,  so this is no proof i pre-registerd.
