Super Dave

QuoteI will probably have a real chance of making it to the pro rank with that kind of finance...........   ::) ;D

Nah, it doesn't take that much more to do a Pro race than it does a club race.

Tires get pricy though...more is better.

Sunny

QuoteYou should've came with us to Jennings Sunny, that was a blast.

I would if only you had told me about it ahead of time before the event actually took place..............

I mean I am not competitive as a racer now.  $$$ would help a lot by getting lessons from school though, and most importantly, track time!

QuoteAs far as beer money is concerned, there won't be any once I break the set time, but if for some reason, which I doubt, if you'd like, I will donate the beer money too if that's what you want. Let's say $400.00 should cover it. And, I agree, DNF  and DNS do not count.  Sorry, I didn't see this post earlier.

I'm not out to get you in trouble with your new wife over finances ;D  Just noting that our bet dosen't have any "proceeds."

However, you could choose to divert some of those beer bucks (which I surely hope wouldn't amount to anything more than the cost of a keg) to the MACC Fund.

Just be sure to save a six pack for me  ;D  You can bring it witcha to Gingerman on 8/1 ;)

Sunny:  The 1:28 time that Dan is claiming is quicker than some of the STT instructors.  That's why I can just taste those brewskis now :D

Beer, good.
Helping a good cause, better.

Hey H-man!  True, 1:28 is quicker than some STT instructors on 600s.  Dan definitely has the bike to go faster though (Aprilia Mille R Factory).  We'll have to see if he actually clock those time in the race.  I guess I'll have to come racing with you guys at Grattan on 6/12-6/13.

Unfortunately I won't be there Sunny.  My inaugural race is slated for 8/1 (or 10/10 if things don't all flow as I've planned;)).

Dan's not rich, and Dan doesn't throw money out the window, so you guys put 2 + 2 together, and have my money ready to send to SuperDave after the races  ;)

*Note:  I am a cheap b@stard, so if you think I would bet on something I would lose on, then you got another thing coming.  Not as cheap as Sunny, but hey, well I don't know anyone cheaper than Sunny.   ;D

The only way I'm gonna lose this bet, is if I crash, and I don't crash that much, and if I do, chances are, I'm taking a ride in the meat wagon with lights flashing.  At that point, i could care less about the bet  ;)

We still need Super Dave to verify he received money from both of us on this, so we can be clear that this is a valid bet.

No problem, maybe we can do a trackday at Grattan during one of the STT LED days before your inaugural race.

How about we just bet on who's faster?  I'll ride a superstock R6 against you on a Mille R Factory!

I am not cheap, I just don't throw money away for no good reason.  There is nothing wrong with price shopping.  Oh Dan, my little 400 still costs more than any of the bikes you have owned!

Alright!  You are on!  We'll do the STT LED at Grattan on July 5th together (yes, after your honeymoon)!  Remember to save some $$$ from your honeymoon trip because you'll be giving me some after the race!!!!!!!!!!   ;D

Ok, true, your bike with BST carbon wheels on it could be more expensive, but then how long did you have the wheels on it before you sold it (for what they costed or some profits as you got good deal for them)!  I am talking about $$$ spent that's not recoverable (keeping the bike)!    ::)

Well, you did switched like at least 3 bikes alone last years (748, 749, mille) according to my count.  You never really own a bike for long.
