Okay, so how do you feel about THIS one where no charges have been filed...

I'm embarrassed that those guys represent motorcyclists to the general population.  The stunting trend is bad in a lot of ways IMHO...   :-/

Charges should be filed.

We had a similar incident in Stoughton, WI (SOuth of Madison) where a guy with either an expired learners permit (my guess knowing you can only reapply for a learners permit 3 times in WI) or none at all, lose control of his HD and hit 5 people in teh crowd. Nothing more than minor injuries, but 3 were children. Still its BS.

I'm with tiger about the stunters. They are causing alot of problems for other bikers in some areas. Their "do what feels good now" attitude messed up Janesville's sportbike scene with the PD. They dont care what they are doing to the sport. We went from having a group of 30-50 bikes every fri and sat night to 4 seperate groups who dont play well together. The guys I ride with are considered "Anti-stunters" or "Jealous" because we dont stunt. Its not that we are anti stunting, we are just anti stunting IN TOWN. For 3 yrs we tried to get them to take it out of town. Nope. Right up and down teh main drag. Now cops harrass, yes HARRASS any sportbike in town now. SO now they go out of town and now "claim" to not do them on the street. Well too late, damage is done.

I hear ya Rob.  I'm not against wheelies, etc. but there's a time and place for that stuff.  Ticking off the public is bad for all of us.

Thats why once my YZF is converted to a TLR #507 killer, I wont buy another sportbike for street riding. HD for a next street toy.:D

Damn, where do you do wheelies.  They said 100 dollar fine for each one at Gateway last weekend. If you can't do them at the track, then where?

Do or do not, there is no "try".

Biaggi's a stunta!!!

Isn't the big thing here that the picture does not show the rider that did this?

This seems to say that this helmeted and protected rider of a seemingly racy bike was the injuring vehicle.

I'm writing CNN...are you?

I'm completely appalled by your placement of the picture in this story:

http://cnn.aimtoday.cnn.com/news/story.jsp?floc=FF-APO-PLS&idq=/ff/story/0001/20040516/1958286373.htm&photoid=20040428XPW105

You are using a respected, world-class motorcycle racer (Max Biaggi) in a story which had some idiot hurt small children during a stupid stunt.

As a motorcycle racer, the last thing our community needs is to be associated with garbage like this.  Your ignorance of the motorcycle community shows clear with the association of a road racer with an illegal street stunter.  The problem is that the largely uninformed public views you as an information source, and this picture/association will stick in their minds which equates to bad press for myself and my fellow respectable racers, who are disgusted by the true story involved here.

I sincerely hope you remove this picture and set the record straight.

Quotethe motorcycle flew into the crowd, landing on the children
so this motorcycle actually left the ground completely? I mean...that's what I think of when I read the word "flew" and "landing".

I am writing them now, and demanding that they replace the image with the attached.
