... you have ever hung off of?  I was pondering this when I caught myself unconsciously hanging off my lawnmower while making sharp turns.

Then I started analyzing which footboard I was putting my weight on, looking through the turn, and wondering if I needed a piece of abrasive contact paper on the gas tank to help me grip it with my knees better.  ;D

I've spent whole days doing that at work.  We have several multi-million gallon water storage reseviors to mow.  It's also less boring to mow in laps instead of passes...
The frame was snapped, the #3 rod was dangling from a hole in the cases, and what was left had been consumed by fire.  I said, "Hey, we've got all night!"

K3,

I'll be mowing at the reservoir this coming weekend. Since this will be my first time mowing there, what gearing should I use for the 2 million gallon reservior?  I'm running a Deere with a 20HP engine.

And one more question: what tire pressures do you recommend?  And have you tried different compounds?

Any help you can give to a newbie mower would be appreciated!

Thanks!

(I couldn't resist)

I have a pretty steep grade on my front yard, so I have to drag knee to keep the mower on all 4.  And I get to countersteer the whole while  ;D

Stock gearing has worked well for me.  I run five pounds of air with the standard compound tires.  One thing that you really want to watch out for is the slopes around the perimiter.  they get very slick with dew, so you should avoid them during the morning sessions, or you'll be straight into the fence!  And don't forget to set your deck height before you go out.  I usually run 5", and it's worked well for me.
Good Luck!

Johnson found his way back to the motorhome at 4am Saturday at Gateway to report that he did one handed wheelies on his xr50 while holding a beer and wearing a sumo wrestler suit for the drag racers.

Where do you rustle up a sumo wrestler suit at drag races?

Don't forget your blade warmers. You can waste a whole session w/o yer bladewarmers. ;D

I am a Maintenance man at a large manufacturing facility and have access to some pretty cool motorized equipment. I like to lean way out on my scissor lift (as long as no one is around, you know, all the safety crap now days!!)
