QuoteI feel your pain. I hit a deer this weekend myself at Summit during a NESBA track day, unfortunately mine wasn't on the way home , I did it on the track and destroyed my new SV 1000. Fortunately I didn't get hurt.

 :o

Glad your OK!

Does this make Kevin a White Plated Deer Slayer?

And that story about the SV1000?  Oh man!  I'll bet you almost died of fright!  That had to su-uck!  Years ago, I was corner working at Road America during AMA weekend.  On the first lap of the 600 race, a doe and a fawn wandered onto the track between 11B and 12.  That's a semi-blind, 175 mph sweeper.  We didn't even have time for a flag.  The lead group of about 6 bikes flew through the two deer, and somehow no contact was made.  I almost had a heart attack just watching!
The frame was snapped, the #3 rod was dangling from a hole in the cases, and what was left had been consumed by fire.  I said, "Hey, we've got all night!"

It was definitely scary. I was saying in my helmet  turn around, turn around, turn around,oh shit!!!!
Here is a link to some photos of my bike after the hit. http://f1.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/ahastings1/album?.tok=phyZcBBBNDiD63Q1&.dir=/9592&.src=ph

Is that you in the checked leathers?  You look a bit pale...
Hey!  If you have the stomach for it, your bike looks rebuildable!  I've certianly fixed worse, blood and guts notwithstanding!

Yeah, that's me. I already started ordering the parts. Fortunately it was on the SV and not my GSXR because the frames are are a lot stronger on the SVs

Arnie....

I am sooo glad your OK.

I don't ride my bike on the street anymore.  Where we live, deer are like mosquitoes.  Driving anywhere close to dusk is a nail biting experience.

Once again, I'm glad your OK!
