I am Chuck's team mate that he had been speaking of. I have had and will continue to have a long road with my daughter in the NICU. I want to take a moment to thank all of you for your support of my family and my daughter Blaise.

She will be there for at least another 3-4 weeks, probably longer. As Chuck hinted to, My wife was on strict bed rest for 10 weeks before goinginto the hospital in January. She was there 7 weeks before blaise was born 10 weeks early. Blaise is now 10 weeks old and still having problems. This has been an issue since November, so I do really appriciate the good wishes.

I have continued my racing plans due to sponsorship commitments I made and people paided for, but additionally, it is one of the only things that I can focus on enough that I am not thinking about my daughter every moment (just between races).

Again, thanks to everyone and I will see you at the track. Find us in the pits and say hello.

Mike

God bless, good luck to Blaise, your wife and you... and we'll see you out there! 8)
CCS AM 815... or was that 158?

I am all for the Islands in January, but could we have some sort of confirmation from Ft Worth please; which regions are making up their respective races where/when?
Also, we ran race 12 on Sunday afternoon, the last one of the day. Was that race nullified and going to be re-run?

I couldn't believe when I heard the 1st call for race 12, since it was like 5:45, the current FUSA race was still racing out on the track, and we had to be done by 6:00. We got our warm-up lap, 1 flying race lap and part of another one (not sure if the leader got 2 full laps?), then the red flag was thrown. Waiting to do that lap and a half caused me to stay 3 hours later than I think was needed.  In my opinion there should have been a decision made mid afternoon that the FUSA races would complete the day. Figuring the race lengths by the average pace the leaders run, it was obvious that it was going to be lucky to get all of the FUSA races completed, but time for even 1 CCS race didn't seem likely.

I think this extra race distance thing is still getting the bugs worked out of it, but adding a full cool down lap on Saturday wasn't really the best choice. The added race distance (5 laps instead of 4) pushes the time finished back by about an hour, a full cool down lap at RA does about the same thing, so that pushes our finish time out by apx. 2 hours. I suppose we chalk that 1 up to live and learn.  :-/

1. Did I miss the posting for where/when these regions' races will be made up? There are now three different notions floating around for make-ups; June 19th @ HP, May 8th @ BHF, May 30th @ BHF.

2. What's the deal with race #12 from RAmerica on Sunday. A lot of people like me stuck around all day to run it, and we did. Race 12 is rumored to be one of the races to make up. Of course it's only a rumor because noone in scheduling from CCS has come out and made this issue clear. What is the deal.

3. Is CCS run by Clear Channel or simply owned by them? It seems ironic that a communications company owned company can't keep their bread and butter informed through a BBS? :o

Thanks Dawn, I thought Eric/Kevin/Keith would address this for everyone to see? (Gotta dip into the brake fluid fund for the long distance call. Who needs brakes?) ;D
